Part 1 of 2: The AWE exhaust system is here for the FL5 Civic Type R. Did some local touge and now I'm sharing with you what I think. Stay tuned for part 2 where I'll show you the install process and go on a few Super Drives.

Wheels are te37sl 18x9.5 +38. I’m on fk8 eibach prokit springs for now.

Thanks! I went with the black tips. I like how they aren’t flat black. The black diamond tips give it some elegance to go with the aggressiveness.

Nice video. Hmmmn this or miltek. Hard choice. How much stiffer is the suspension with those springs? Thanks

Thanks! I haven’t personally had experience w/ miltek, so I can’t comment on that. The springs help the car feel more planted, but not much harsher than stock if at all. From what I’ve seen on the forums, these roughly are the spring rates: Oem- 4.7k front / 4.2 k rear Eibach (fk8) - 5.2k front / 4.9k rear

hey thanks for the video. just wondering how much louder this exhaust is in cabin when cruising compared to the stock one. afraid that it might be too loud for talking/calling when driving.

It is louder in cabin, but at cruising speeds I am able to take calls just fine.

Hey man Ik this is a bit of an old video but is there any drone at highway speeds?? That would be a huge deal breaker for me

@@Dc5jordeezy I’d say the drone is minimal. You do have to watch your throttle though.

Question: What do you think are the chances of being pulled over in Chicago for loud exhaust. I think Chicago might be worst than California when it comes to loudness. 76db is legal limit under 35mph. 😂

@@Ebelon honestly I think it’s all luck, and there’s no way to predict. I know people that have never had problems, and others that get pulled over left and right.
