If any American broadcaster talked about beer like that they would be pulled off the air. There’s a reason why the drinking age in this country is 21. In my opinion it should be 18. If you’re old enough to vote, buy a gun, and go to war you’re also old enough to drink a beer. The drinking age was raised back to 21 in 1984 over federal highway funding.

Drew that comes from ireland and from a gaelic football commentary in the early nineties. The host is irish and it comes from they "their won't be a cow milked in west clare for a week" after county clare had won there first championship in nearly 100 years and the commentator was from there. Obviously the quote had to be modified for london ,not very many cows in london.

I was a baseball only fan for most of my life and was blessed with Vin Scully as the commentary voice of my team. Now that he’s not, you really notice how far and above he was compared to the other baseball commentators. Then, I became a Football ⚽️ fan and a fan of the premier league. The English commentators are so good at what they do, with colorful commentary and impeccable timing, if only they were the commentators for baseball. I don’t know if these commentators are baseball fans but if they weren’t before they did an amazing job making it seem like it

3 years later and today’s series just starting up. just looking back as a yankees fan. the amount of energy when the sox came all the way back in just the first inning. soccer (football) commentators are so electric as opposed to the major US sports (with the exception of hockey) if Michael Kay was calling that first inning a tied up first inning would’ve been another day in the office. this was a lot cooler than i realized back then.
