Can you zoom out to view the whole coin or just sections of it?

Thanks for sharing Silver Seeker!! Very nice, I do love the side lights, but I am needing an update for the computer as I need to be able to see stuff on the big screen. Currently I only have one that wi-fi’s to my phone and it is kind of small, lol

Hmmm, this is an interesting concept. I never considered utilizing a microscope that would not connect to my PC/laptop, though I can see why you would want one and I am inclined to agree. Thank you for sharing!

Looks cool, Can you change the power with the remote so it can stay higher from the coin? Its funning, I just ordered a PalliPartners LCD Digital Microscope,7 inch last night. I should get it by Saturday. Thanks for the Video

Seems a quality product, good for taking to a coin show to verify your purchases before you leave. Funny to watch someone pull something like this out at a coin shop or show, checking sellers coins.

I use a cardboard coin flip to hold the coins when the scope is down really low. Seams to work well for me.

Great video and nice review of the scope. Can users determine accurately the magnification,eg 5x/10x/etc?

Great for pulling those nearly impossible to read dates off of Buffalo Nickle etc.. I'm going to go check out the price on on of these, if it's reasonable I may get one just to have here in the house. My eyes aren't getting any younger 😭 Thanks for the review.

LED lighting is worse thing for coins error searching regardless the sides or top young man. So which one do you use please, the old scope.. thanks

Can you actually use a power microscope to say a coin is errored? I hear if you can't see the error at 30X then it's not an error?

I basically have that same microscope. It just has a different name on it. I am looking for something that is very wide angle so I can take pictures of the entire coin. What is best for that?

Can you do a video on the camera you use everyday? I've been collecting all my life and have never had time to enjoy anything but the hunt until now. Hoping to find something for coin and bills that can be controlled by laptops. Rotary phones when I started seems like yesterday.

It's been a year but I am going to look into this one! The one I have now could use updating. On my current one, I use the back of an index card to move my coins around. I figure it also helps to not drag the coin around the surface of the scope. Thanks for the review!

you can view it on your computer if you use a piece of software called OBS, Open Broadcast Software

You can use it for pics yea but I didnt test how far out it can zoom so not sure there

@Silver Seeker, Would you be interested in displaying a microscope that can not only zoom in, but take a picture of the whole coin? It's a robotic rig I make and want to turn into a product, and I'd be very happy if you'd be willing to review it when it needs a bit of buzz. And doesn't fail 40 percent of the time.

The amazon link is not to the model of microscope in the video. Looks similar but I believe lower quality thankfully i caught it before buying.

um, the remote is so that you don't wiggle your scope when you take pictures. duh. lol i'm looking around to buy a scope, but i wouldn't want one that doesn't connect connect to a pc (broken or defective screen = trash it) or that doesn't have a way to take pictures without jiggling the scope.

Great video, BTW, LED lighting is not great for coins nor eyes, avoid.

well looks nice but / need to hook up USB to my computer / want to take Pics (that I'm looking at) go directly to My Pictures on my computer and want 10 x , ( I want better ) 40x would do / I do like the 2 lights that are adjustable too

Seeker, Microscope likes. The ability to capture an image, the size of the screen (viewing area), the magnification levels. Microscope dislikes. Viewing area does not allow for the viewing of the entire coin (coin does not fit within the screen).

Heya James! Coin can fit in the screen just fine, you just have to zoom out. But it's not to take pics of the coins, it's a microscope so I was showing it zoomed in very far so the demonstration could show how well it does what it's supposed to do (see the fine details). Micro usb to usb to your pc doesn't do anything? Micro usb to hdmi? A remote would suggest that your looking out at a larger screen.

Aye good observation but everything I've read online plus using it, its just for power. Doesn't even mention anything in the manual and my PC doesn't respond to it being plugged in.

In a way I dislike the overall design. The lights are not quite as bright as I would like them to be.

Been looking to buy... here's what I found. Very difficult to get one that will show the complete coin (dollar size). It would have to have low power for that. Even the one brand I found had one reviewer who claims they could not view the whole coin. Next... practically ALL of them are MADE IN CHINA!!! What the... dammit! This means... practically ALL of them are made in the same facility and merely have a different logo slapped on. Mr Seeker mentioned Adonstar, yet shows a LinkMicro... but it's the same as a Koolertron. No conspiracy theory here... check it out for yourself! Don't hate me... I am just the messenger.

Do you know of a coin microscope/camera that will take pictures of the entire coin as well as closer up. Which ones can I use to hook up to computer and save pics to use on ebay?

@@tmo4330 there possibly cameras that can do that, and the microscopes are basically cameras, but the issue is that the stand it attaches to isn't tall enough to get a large coin into full view. When I switch to video mode instead of photo, I can get a bigger view, but it still wasn't enough. I haven't tried, but the best route might be a Logitech video cam. For around $200 they have a 4k model. There's a lot of knock-off brands too.

I said at the beginning they sent it to me for free if I used it in a video and I decided to review it. I pointed out the negatives and the positives of the scope and I'm not getting paid at all other than the scope for free.

@@SilverSeeker hi seeker! Happy New Year! You’re channel is awesome! As far as my comment. I am a dashcam enthusiast and have had a lot of bad experiences with micro usb. For me they aren’t very durable. Even when you are careful plugging them in and out, they wear out quickly causing connection issues. So for this price, I would have hoped they used a usb-c plug.

Not a good coin scope at all. Where is the zoom demonstration? The lack of USB connection is also a deal breaker.

I literally zoomed in quite far in the video, but for the lack of PC connection, yea it will be a turn off for some.
