I can watch this video over and over and over. Its simple, she's calling out each and every move over and over, repeatedly so that a beginner can learn. They do not miss ONE beat! not one beat is missed. I understand this is perhaps "Casiino" style... somewhat different than what my wife and I are learning here in New Jersey, but we have also incorporated some of this style into our steps. Thank you for this video.

jeromee otero lol it's salsa de casino or rueda de casino or cuban salsa. created by the Cubans from Miami first and then developed in Cuba. but they don't really have the proper style they hot the figures the timing etc but not the soul of it especially the dude.

Don't watch these videos, just go and do a lesson. You are going to make so much progress than if you were to just watch the video, in fact it will put you off dancing. These are all the beginner moves you are going to begin with in a beginner class. You would be dancing with people and learning the feelings and linking the music with the moves(musicality).

Is dile que no same as cross body lead?
@lvluptoaverage527 жыл бұрын
Vince Grande Yes it is but its Cuban style. dile que no starts with both making a v shape with thier bodies and step forward then leader moves to the left in an kinda L shape changing the direction of the move but steps are the same

@averybaumann5 жыл бұрын
anyone with a few months of experience can break down any youtube video by looking to see what the girl is doing, there are only a handful of moves and often they are differentiated by arm styling or leading with the off hand.

For everyone who knows what songs version has been using in this tutorial, the real version is kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fLRloq9zvc-ypoE.html. Really, it is an emblematic salsa Colombian song, 100% recommendable if you want to know about the real "sabor caribeño" throughout the Colombian salsa music.

they are losing the rhytm and count at 1:45 .. quite confusing. At least they end on the 1 in the end.
@averybaumann5 жыл бұрын
often people cannot count aloud and still keep count. I have chinese students trying to count in english and cannot speak it at the rate of the music, I just tell them to count in chinese. Dancing I often try to keep them on step rather than on time especially when teaching.
@virakchhang6 жыл бұрын
There are different styles and methods to execute salsa (regional, etc). With that said, there are some objective truths - like timing. Her count is incorrect. She counts "4, 5, 6" on "5, 6, 7" counts of music. Sometimes she counts 1, 2, 3 on 8, 1, 2. Not only is her count wrong but she does it at varying tempos. This can be incredibly confusing for someone trying to learn. These are facts that you can't argue with. Moves look cool, but teaching element needs work.

Rueada moves, salsa square dancing. Salsa basic is rock forward, then rock backwards, even among the on-2 groups. this is continuous open break which is salsa square dancing.

FOR BEGINNERS?!?!?! 0.o
@MarcusBodyCoding6 жыл бұрын
As a salsa teacher for more than 10 years - 'don't be intimidated by that' => this is not a lesson but a demonstration - Also these moves are not for total beginners but for people who have been in at least 2-3 classes. Hope that was helpful!
@raindocs6 жыл бұрын
This is actually a very odd video. They are doing these moves (beginner's or not), but their technique is as good as below inferior: connected arms stretched all the time, she is looking at his feet all the time. On top of that, they are dancing on 5 LOL. You are right, this was probably filmed after 2-3 lessons, but... why would someone make instructional vids after 2-3 lessons??
@rrrondog6 жыл бұрын
I thought they were dancing “on 2”...but 5? I’m still trying to distinguish between basic lol!! Love this song, though! Anyone know the name of it?
@raindocs6 жыл бұрын
You can count with the song and find 1. Then count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and you will see that the guy steps with left foot in guapea always on 5. Very regular bloke, this guy. And the chick, too. Very consistent. Isn't it strange? Not many vids on youtrube that would teach you something like this, but these folks just did )))
@MarcusBodyCoding6 жыл бұрын
raindocs - definitely agree with you with all the things you worte. even more than that: if you watch after 2:59 - they are dancing only on HER count and not on the music.. At some points he steps with his left on 6 or 7... Ron Torres - maybe because of that you thought they were dancing on 2.. but again this may be very confusing for beginners... Hope that was helpful!

Josue Ruiz Salsa is the easiest dance to learn along with Merengue and bachata. This version is Cuban and looks confusing. I dance LA style and can teach anybody the basic and ladies right turn and men's right turn to complete beginners to dance in 45 minutes. Seek out the best instruction in person not the internet
