The gun belt (also commonly referred to as range belts, duty belts, war belts, or battle belts) market is crowded. Actually, it is flooded. With so many options, many of which are all disturbingly similar, selecting the best gun belt for your military, law enforcement, security or civilian role can be daunting. Today, we’ll bring the same quantitative, empirical analysis to gun belts that we introduced to plate carriers last year. We heard you loud and clear on our Technical Plate Carrier Reviews: objectivity and transparency matter. They help the market break through the noise and the hype. With that said, let's get the gun belt party started.

I'm running the HRT ARC Belt and would love to hear your thoughts on belts that utilize Tegris. It'll be interesting to see it stacks with the weight savings. Also, the ARC belt has a similar curve to the belt like the Blue Force Gear so I believe it would be a good comparible option.

Your guy's poor audio quality is really holding solid content back! Get some advice, and raise the decibels up on your videos (and get a better mic as the current setup is muffled). Also to be honest your comparison details on this video was kinda weak sauce. I can tell this is all just comparing data with no experience of actually using belts for the comparison. I could get this info from their website instead of a long form video. I'd rather get info on the intricacies of actually putting the belt to work, and seeing how they wear and compare. I have the AWS SMU and I like them. First they are inexpensive yet capable. I can get 2 belts for close the price of just one in a more pricier brand, and I don't feel lacking. Like that it lets you customize each belt fully to have a 1.5" or 2" inner belt, and also adjust the colors of the inside weave and the molle weave to the colors you want via alot of different belt options. Alot of brands you're stuck with the one and only style they have. The belt is very ridged which i like, it really holds heavy weight well without folding like softer belts. Also it does have excess material on the front o of the belt like say the blueforces where that extra adjustment material can get in the way or make the front molle close to the buckle not as practical to use. I do kind of wish it came with a option without the d ring as if you carry a rifle slung it can dig at your rifle's finish. It can also be pretty difficult to molle things in with the thin and narrow slots, and for some pouches it's spacing can cause binding. This is also a good thing though as it does make the belt more thin, streamlined, and hold pouches very tight to the belt itself with no play (usually) unlike the ronin which has the opposite effect of being easier to molle attach, but is now has more slop in the pouches (relatively). Overall though I like it. Its pretty simple and I like that. I can't say its all that compfortable though compared to the other belts who put in more cushioning, but for a sturdy battle belt thats affordable - its a keeper. Also some heersay info: The manufacture of the AWS belt actually is the same manufacturer of the ronin belts. I hear the dad of Tu Lam is actually in part the owner of AWS which is how he was able to start his own line of gear and belts. Can't say if this is really true or not though, but reddit says so haha.

@iPervy
@iPervy Жыл бұрын
@Qore Performance On my computer via speakers. Your audio across the board is roughly 40% quieter than the average video. You can test this by pulling up another youtube video that you know/think has good audio and compare yours to theirs. In this case since im sure we both now his channel you can pull up a grand thumb video and the play yours back and forth. All video editor programs usually have a decible control where the audio track layer is. Just crank that sucker for everything to be higher. But to be technical your mic setup is poor and muffled so even if you boost the decibles it may not reach the optimum sound level before becoming distorted/crackling. But it should reach a high enough level to make the videos much better. That said the clarity of your audio is a big issue and hard to say how best to fix that with what info I dont have. But a new mic may need to be in order or the cord connecting your mic to the camera is damaged (or plugin location). Hm or you are using the onboard camera mic.. or where your mic is located is being covered by a shirt or something haha. Lot of factors. Could even be dust and dirt clogging the mic holes or a faulty mic. Maybe a weird default audio setting is affecting your editing software to add the muffling.

Blue Force Gear is highly overrated. Their products are stupid expensive and really arent all that great. They got popular because of their slings and their relationship with vickers, but really dont deserve the praise. Their belts are suoer expensive and my AWS holds more weight and is cheaper.

BFG belts is an apples to oranges comparison to the AWS. They're not remotely the same design or materials, and the CHLK is a niche belt for people rigging to helos or SPIEs, aka people who do this stuff for a living and not on a weekend. AWS is cheaper because they've been selling the same design for years. BFG is innovating with new designs and materials technology. BTW, the AWS founder is Tu Lam's father and Im pretty sure they make the Ronin belts. The company is local to me here in Fayetteville
