Great presentation material overall. I think it’s worth watching the whole video, but for developers who are familiar with serverless paradigms and have the foundational knowledge of lambdas, I might skip ahead to 20:35 for a reminder of serverless mindset shifts and 41:38 for the summary of lambda optimization tips.

I like your videos. This is not a troll. But doing a year review on “full stack” advances without mentioning AWS a single time is pretty weird. All of those managed services that enable those who like the front end, to utilize a lot of those managed services so they can focus on the front end, actually do still run on servers. I am totally okay with focusing on the area of tech that’s meaningful. But this was just a “why front got better from one persons perspective”. This is not a review of what happened in full stack year. But I still love you, and your beautiful.

I don't know, serverless prices are pure venom they look great in development and can scale, just be ready for a very big invoice in the order of 10k some buggy code, calling lambdS In inner loops etc.

Good information but presentation skills could be better. Hardly looks or engages with the audience, always looking at the slides/teleprompter.

Maybe I missed it, but what's the reason for optimizing your cold start with such flunky lazy-loading? I'm at 35:35 and you can clearly see how little that init time matters. Just write dead simple code and you will not end up with a bunch of unpredictable lazy-loaded packages...
