This is the video I was looking for Billy! Just bought my first double bit axe head, a vintage 3 1/2 Collins. Now searching for a 36" handle to match it. Happy days these are😀

what a gift; that axe is a work of art; I like the old patina; that axe is a beauty; oxheads are cutting axes; you can put a wicked edge on that blade; I have a poleaxe that you would love; we always cut our wood flush with a hacksaw at the head; then wrapped the shoulders with wire; I use to turn the grindstone for my father and after a while when he beared down on the blade it felt as if your shoulder was coming off; I don/t miss that grindstone

You're a man of many talents my friend!! I have always wanted an ox head champion chopping axe to add to the collection. Actually...in one of your videos I think you had one with a broken handle. Beautiful work on the axe buddy, it's about time you build one for yourself👍👍 keep up the good work and love to the family😊

thanks for teaching us Billy Ray, some things i learned putting an axe head on. I sand blasted the rust off then i sharpened it before I installed the new handle big mistake for sure the head slipped out of my hand hit my pointer finger on the first knuckle it sliced it to the bone took A trip to med center and received 4 stiches. my advice would be after sharpening put tape on the cutting edge. axe turned out awesome A true temper Kelly perfect 32 double bit axe.

I love seeing all the axes come to life. but especially that one since I have what I think is that exact same head that I'm currently working on getting on a handle. most of the insignia is gone because it was used and abused (as it should be) before it ended up in my hands, but what little there is matches and the shape of it is so distinctive. great video, and I'll try and send ya a picture of the final product when mine gets put together.

So im lucky enough to work from home, and I've been just kinda blah for 2-3. Little fever here and there. So instead of forcing myself to work and feel like snot all day, i decided to take a me day. I turned off my customer line sent emails out about 4am, to give a few customers an emergency way to contact me. Now i have chosen to bundle up in bed and catch up on some of your videos. Sinve I'm new to the channel there are a ton of them I want to see. So even if I'm still a tad sick tonight, i know I'll be rested and in a peaceful mood from watching your videos. Thanks again.
