Axe throwing, there's the yard long box to stand in to get the right rotation; no matter where in the box I stood the rotation I threw was on the back half, right as I was considering holding the hatchet backward for my next throw, my current axe slammed tip first into the target and stuck there, like a knife handle straight out from the wall, un-hatchet-like: at that point, the owner, having watched my dozens of attempts and that one success, told me to try throwing underhand; then it stuck every time.
