Axial UTB18 Furitek Brushless Combo installation! Lizard and Komodo!

Hey friends! The newish Furitek brushless combo for the Axial UTB 18 is installed in this episode. Daunting but then it turned out easier than I thought. Plug and play. FOC (what does that even mean?) It has Bluetooth! 2-3s lipo capable, 40-70amp esc with built in BEC 5-6.5v (Full sized servo!) Brushless 2500kv motor is tiny! I am sure there is way more techno babble available. Go find it!
I arranged the weird loop music in this one (Copyright Apple Inc.)
.So... Like share bell comment etc! I really appreciate all the RC community love in trying to grow my channel. So no pressure.

Yes! I tried it out at my test spot on signal hill. Terrific. Though I had smaller than stock tires on… May go a hair bigger. Thank you and Cheers!

Hey! Yes. Stock it was already pretty capable. However I just took it out on some serious rocks yesterday and it proved worthy, even on my 10th scale lines. Thanks!

That looks like it will be super controllable for crawling! It sure looks to have the lowest of low speed control! That gear box looked a bit on the dry side, I would have had to of added some grease to it but I over-grease everything! LOL! Looking forward to seeing it out or inside crawling over things!

Hey! So slow... Something about FOC which I am still reading up on too. But yeah, that gearbox was as dry as a popcorn fart! When I add conformal coating ( waiting on Amain) to the ESC I will grease up the gearbox with marine or lithium grease) Cheers!

I installed the same set but I am not really satisfied - cogging is a real problem and I tried every possible adjustment with the app - never being able to eleminate the cogging ...🙄 went back to the original motor but put the Hobbywing Quicrun WP1080 G2 inside and it works perfect - no more annoying whistling, slow crawling and an ESC that has power enough for 4WS ...

Gotcha. I have currently no issues with cogging. They system is smooth as butter for me. I ‘m not doing rear steer mod.

I just installed mine and tried to hook up the esc to spektrum sr315 receiver and the esc cable has a small notch and wont fit in the receiver? What am i doing wrong? I see extension cables that may work. Is that what i need?

Hmmm, are you using the stock ESC? I remember once i had one that didnt fit, it was a traxxas I was putting something in to, so I just cut the tab off and it fit just fine. However if you are not sure, getting an adapter is a better idea.
