When you get the Nugget done, You and Matt should take it out to Sand Hollow and have it become a “rescue” with Ed along…I would love to see his face when he recognizes it is. You could put a cutout of Ed behind the wheel when you drive up 😂

My eyebrows when you hoisted the motor, remembered it was a Jimny with a sewing machine sized engine. Those were 2 cyl/ 2 stroke, if I recall, but the Nugget may have had something different to meet local requirements. The LJ20 series is pure gold, it's name is wonderfully appropriate. Ed may not shed a tear- though I bet there are those- but there's gonna be a lot of cutting onions on the viewer side when he see's what you have done. Thanks for bringing us all together, shows what love can do.

I like the story time with Paul. I used to do that with my Sons. The Boys went to Mom one day and said" Why does Dad tell us all this stuff not to do" so she asked me. I said because i have done a ton of stupid stuff when i was young and i'm just narrowing down their options when figuring stuff out. I always let them do a lot of their own figuring till i saw them about to do something dangerous or way wrong. Then i drop a little knowledge on them and walk off. We always made sure the boys had bikes and motorcycles etc. to keep them away from girls as long as we could and the girls had horses to keep them away from boys as long as we could. It worked out pretty well.

Paul, my dad used to drive a model A in South Africa and Rhodesia in the 1930's and he told the story of when they got to a river with steep banks that they couldn't drive up they'd turn the rear axle over and have an extra low forward gear that would enable them to ford the river. Sometimes a steep hill would be impassable so they'd turn the car around and reverse up. The reverse gear was much lower ratio than first gear. Regards from Canada's banana belt.👍🇨🇦🤞

If it were me calling the shots I would make a DVD showing parts of the teardown with guys shaking their heads about how bad things are... then stay tuned for part two! Paul I love hearing you tell stuff to your kids. Sounds just like my dad. We were just practicing is a classic. I have yet to hear my dad’s favorite so maybe you can use it in the future. “It’s half your fault, you were watching me put it on the wrong way.”

Looking for a numerical sequence on this rebuild. Glad that you have enough donor vehicles in which to choose from. Love the "figure it out." Not even say, See that button that says brake. That was absolute GOLD. That was cognitive teaching at its pinnacle.

I really really like it that you and your family work together like you do. I was a auto mechanic all my life and I leaned it all from my dad. And I had my own business for forty years thanks to my dad. I am now retired due to my health and boy do I really really miss it. Just please please keep up the good work. You all are amazing

Just subscribed last week. Popped up on my feed when I watched one of Matt’s videos. Playing catch-up on the older ones. Very laid back and enjoyable. Reminds me of my younger years in my dad’s barn. My profile picture shows the side of that barn and one of the old Case VA series tractors he had for parts. I was never able to grasp mechanics, but stick welding and making do with what was laying around is still with me

I have not watched your channel much in the past but, since you are helping Ed, I have subscribed and I'll be watching in the future. Oh yeah, do you think you could find a spot for the fixings for nachos with jalapenos and we could have a snack. Matt and Lizzy are being mean to me and wont ever get any nachos even when they are where they make them. Ain't that just criminal?
