That is hands down the most impressive axolotl tank I have ever seen. Yes, the fist thing that came to mind was is that substrate safe for them & I heard that these are probably the only animals more pollutant than carps (goldfish, kois, etc), so the dense vegetation is definitely helping with your filtration. I actually had the idea that if I were to keep these creatures, to utilize an aquaponic system, since the water would be so nutrient rich. But again, very impressive.....

dang bro your planted tank has really been taken over by Black Beard Algae (BBA). would suggest u to do a spot treatment with seachem excel / H2O2 hydrogen peroxide. best would be to trim those affected plants or just taken them out to do a H2O2 Dip. goodluck with it!!

Hey Mokyi - i bought some amazing Darwin clowns from Blue Ribbon Koi a few weeks back. They also had some cute Domino clowns which would look nice in a Nano tank. As you know they have great clowns. My favorite currently are the lightning Maroon clowns but they can be a bit priciey. Like the planted tank thinking about doing one-- Take Care MJ

swords need some root tabs. seachem makes good ones alone with the ones that corey sells at aquarium co op, the swords are heavy heavy root feeders and need all of there food in the substrate. swords are rosette plants, not stem plants.

anubias is a slow grower 1--2 years to double in size. they grow very slowly but are very hardy.

Man I wish I had a close place to get cool stuff! I am disabled so the places have to be close I found a few okayish stores but like most don't have many live plants which I love and seem to keep the normal things nothing cool fish wise. Well at least spring is almost here so I can order fish if I have to!

Breeder needs co2... The ground plants you have in there need light and co2. Anubias is fine slow grow no co2 needed..

What temperature is your tank at? I always wanted to add plants to my 40 breeder but I have to keep my house ac set to 70 and run a box fan 24/7 to keep my temp in the 64-70°F. And the box fan would block most of the light

cories + aquasoil = gl... they require a sand substrate, and almost everyone i know has failed horribly trying to keep then with aquasoil.

Hey so I just picked up two anemones a rose bubble tip and an indo rainbow bubble tip and the rose bubble tips "tentacles " seem very thin sometimes but thick other times and they have lost their bubbles. Both anemones dont open up until around 1 everyday, should I be concerned?
