Without studying Vedantha , ,one cannot know what self realisation is ; the very purpose of life is self realisation. Rama was taught ,Yogavashista by sage Vasistha ,that is how Rama was known as Vedantha Vedya ! There is no encouragement to study Vedantha despite the importance of Vedantha ! Even without teaching Vedantha ,Hindus are called fundamentalists ! If Vedantha ( at least important 10 Upanishads are taught ,how Hindus can understand the culture and purpose of life ! Hinduism is Sanatana (ageless ,birthless everlasting principles of Almighty , creation! Many pray visit temples without knowing basic principles , and get a bad impression that Hinduism is idol worshipping and believing in many Gods. But many are ignorant there is only One God principle in Sanatana Dharma , known as Brahman, or Almighty ,in different forms to suit any kind of people ,there cannot be two Supreme powers ,which will be absurd. ! "Ekoham Bahushyam" I am One willed to become infinite many ! One God in the form of many Gods, and infinite universes only a manifestation of Brahaman, like mirage or dream world ! "Ekam sad vipra Bahudaa Vadanti " One Suprememe Being formless ,but all apparent forms are of the Almighty only. Ultimate aim of living being is know oneself that he is not different from Almighty Brahman, not craving even for Heaven , as that also will be temporary and not everlasting!
