I mainly use Aztec FO. Tobacco is one of my top sellers. My husband is a firefighter, so he likes to sell my “mandles” to his buddies at work. lol specifically that scent. People are thrown off by the name, but when they smell it, they are pleasantly surprised. I love Aztecs fall/winter scents the most. I would love for you to test Indigo fragrances, and wooden wick. I’ve only tried a couple FO’s from each, and they were all good.

Those fragrance oil reviews are so helpful, thank you !! 😊 since this one was on Aztec FO I have a question for you, maybe you'll be able to help me... Recently I had a couple feed back about my candles having a good cold throw but poor hot throw :-/ I always heard that Aztec FO smells are weaker than other brands but no customers ever complained before and now I'm a bit worried... have you ever noticed if the candles you make with Aztec FO smells a bit weaker than the others you make ? And If so do you have a trick maybe to make them smell stronger ?

I definitely have a love hate relationship with their tobacco scent, it reminds me of a burnt caramel smell like when you burn sugar on the stove 😂 I haven’t tried it in candles, maybe it’ll smell different but I have to say that this tobacco scent would be perfect to mix with other scents to come out with a new scent, it’s almost like Aztec’s Tobacco version is an unfinished scent that needs to be complimented with another scent... Their Rose scent is really good too, it doesn’t have that soapy smell nor does it have that evergreen smell, it is an airy ozone-like rose scent that is also perfect to mix with other scents maybe even with a rose essential oil to bring out the rose. I would be curious to pair it with a sugary smell of some sorts or sexualize it maybe with an amber, or honey, we’ll see but the rose scent isn’t bad compared to other Rose scents I’ve smelled and people always like to have a choice of Rose scents to add to their lines. What would you say is your favorite rose fragrance oil out of curiosity?

I have seen people in a coconut candle group say if the wick is too big, it will smell of chemical/fuel. Different scents will take different wicks. Also may have used too much FO. Citrus usually uses less FO

I hated ice cream parlor in the bottle, so I used it as a test candle...OMG It is by far one of my favorite scents and is a very popular scent:)

Love fragrance reviews! I was wondering is there one scent you would recommend for a beginner to test with. I'm still in the process of finding the proper wick for my jars and I've been testing with Candle Science Black Cherry Merlot and I'm not sure if I'm becoming nose blind since I've been testing with this one for a while now but honestly it hasnt given my a strong scent throw to begin with. I've been considering that I should test with a simpler scent if that make sense? Like Vanilla? Cinnamon? Although I'm tempted to switch to Sea Salt & Orchid since OOB its strong and I'm loving it. Appreciate your feedback Erica!

Thank you! ❤️ Honestly fruit loops by the flaming candle is SO strong, i like to recommend this one or mango and coconut milk by CS, they will be a good indicator on if your wicks/wax are throwing well. Sea salt and orchid is a good one too! I would definitely test with that one and see how it does :)

Love scent reviews! I suggest Cantalope And Lilly. It is amazing!!! (From Aztec, have not seen it elsewhere) I use Lemon Crazy and love it but I use apricot coconut cream wax. Could be your wax or to strong a wick, or maybe high fo load. I use 8%. I also do cold process soap and both scents behave great in CP! So I can use it in candles,CP, and bath and body products. That doesn't happen often enough. I usually have to buy scents depending on what I make.

It depends! I would say use the formula from this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jM6anNN1rJzFpqM.html And whatever number you get for your FO, you will just cut that in half. So for instance if you need 28 grams of fragrance oil you would use 14 grams of one scent and then 14 grams of another for a 50/50 ratio between the two scents but you’re still getting a total weight of 28 grams
