ElecMan, being a very popular and powerful Robot Master, has developed quite an ego for himself and has become very narcissistic as a result. He is obsessed with the beauty in everything around him, even though he believes that his lightning is the brightest beauty in the entire world.

I like to think that the reason why Elecman is weak to Oilman is because he is so vain that something that would tarnish his own beauty (i.e. black crude oil) is like kryptonite to him and he can't stand to get hit by something that would reduce his seemingly perfect beauty.

Kind of a missed opportunity to tease the Yellow Devil with the old pause glitch. For those unaware, the Elecbeam tore the poor guy’s health to shreds if you paused and unpaused the game. I say poor guy and yet he’s considered not only one of, if not the hardest fight in the original Megaman, but considered one of the hardest of the Devil series.

The conversation between Elecman and Timeman should've went like this: Timeman: (appears) Elecman?! Oh no, don't tell me you went near the giant clock and broke it again! Elecman: Talk about so quick to assume, but that's admittedly not shocking me at all. No, I didn't go near it, and even if I did, couldn't you just fix it again? Timeman: It took six nonstop hours to fix that thing! That's six hours I'm never getting back thanks to you! Look, just stay away from my stuff, alright?! (battle starts) That would've been HILARIOUS to see! It's just too bad it didn't go into scenario like I imagined. (No, I'm not even going to go there...)
