I live near Palmdale ca, the hanger is 14 miles away. I believe I’ve seen it fly. It’s a beautiful plane; and it’s quiet. I’ve seen it on some nights when in garden. Full moons, can see the plane outline well when it’s taking off or landing . The engines looked blue ish flame like, when it went by, when seeing it from behind when it was going by my house in night. it’s so quiet, does not sound like the other planes taking off or landing. I could still hear bugs chirping when I was right below it. I think it’s my favorite plane and it’s not even mainstream yet. It’s going to do some nasty work to someone in a war. The unveiling party was a big event that night. Security was way tighter around plant and city police were more uptight then normal on big day.

That's very cool but are you sure it's the Raider you're seeing? You shouldn't be able to see any plume or exhaust coming from it. Those engines are buried deep in the plane. Just like the B2. Is it a flying wing design you're seeing fly out at night? I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'd love to live where you live!

What is really interesting to me is that Northrup claims the B21 is 1-2 generations ahead of the B2 in stealth capabilities. With the B2 still remaining the most stealthy aircraft in the world, how the B21 can be 2 generations ahead of it is insane. There must be some new stealth technology that is totally alien to us, not just a new shape and a new coating. China has been trying to make a stealth bomber for over 30 years now and still hasnt, meanwhile America just blew the B2 out of the water, its scary how far ahead US military technology is.

Really it's just virtual engineering, tight tolerance manufacturing , and quality control. The Chinese are aware of everything we're doing because our cybersecurity sucks, they just lack the ability to *replicate* it on an industrial scale. Nevertheless, don't make the mistake of underestimating China. If we have to fight them, it'll be in their back yard.

Great video. Enjoyed that. I remember as nerdy teenager in the late 1980s seeing the B2 on TV. My mind was blown. It was more bizarre than anything on sci fi. The B21 seems to be a minimal change evolution of the B2 particularly with maintenance and availability in mind.

My biological father worked at Groom Lake aka Area 51 and Edwards Air Force Base. I still have my letter carried in the bomb bay of the first flight from Plant 42 to Edwards Air Force Base of the B-2. The B-21 did the same thing.

Cheaper/better infrared sensors on networked fleets of drones is going to be the only counter to this for a while. The new king spectrum will be IR and even visible light. The raider (and other assets) will be able to see those IR drones and -IR based AWACS with radar at distance, but if you engage them to clear the way, you kinda give away your presence. Like a sentry alarm. Hence the claimed emphasis on electronic warfare, drone pairing, datalinks. Things you would do anyway but it all very much fits into place.

The top section of the wing is fairly flat because of the low profile intakes . The intakes have humps that hide the engines from radar . The low profile upper deck probably has the trade off of having a bigger belly . The exhaust section of the B2 bomber has always been a secret and it'll be the same with the B21 in being something left for the imagination .

I'm wondering if the intakes are designed, along with the nearby parts of the fuselage, to act as a sort of upside-down wing. That would create a suction force that pulls more air in, so the intakes can be buried on top of the wing and reduced in size without air-starving the engines.

If you look carefully at videos on KZfaq of the B-2 from the ground and behind, you can see that from some angles, it *almost seems to disappear*! Well, if the "tail" number is right, then it means the Raider has been around for 15 years already. In USAF BoRT numbers the first two numbers denote the year of manufacture. This would explain why it was revealed to the public. Now, think about what may appear 15 years from NOW.

The B-21 is good to the 2060's. Most of the projects being worked on at Groom Lake are up to 60 years in the future. B-21 stands for the 21st century bomber. Its RCS is that of the F-22 @ 0.00001

Your information on the coatings on the B2. They don't need to be replaced every mission. Minor repairs may be necessary but the entire coating gets replaced every phase cycle.

We’ve all seen how well the S-400 has performed in both Syria and Ukraine. Not very well. In Syria, Israeli aircraft fly unchallenged, and in Ukraine the S-400 has been unable to protect targets even when Russia has known precisely what’s being targeted. The war in Ukraine has confirmed what many western analysts suspected, which is that the Russian government has overhyped its military capabilities significantly.

My guess is we'll end up with a lot more Raiders than 100.. The concept of long range extremely stealthy aircraft is useful for much more than the strategic bombing.. With 200 or more B-21 Raiders they could be used in a tactical role armed with AARGM-ERs, SIAWs, AIM-260 JATMs, Storm Brakers, LRASMs, HALOs, etc...

B21 is long overdue. B-2 is a great plane, but in the modern era its just not as effective anymore. I just hope they don't limit production of it, like they did the B2 and the F-22. The RCS of the new B21 makes it basically undetectable. I say basically because its still detectable but its munitions have a greater range than its detectable range. If the U.S. Has 100 of these planes they could basically cripple any Nation with out the use of Nukes and little if any losses. Takes over the legacy of the B2, instilling fear unto possible foes.

Your rendering is wrong, but you know this. From what I've seen, the rear has been released. The exhaust is like the F-117 with the exhaust slanted upwards. The high resolution pictures released show the B-21 with 2 engines. The B-21 does use the same look around system as the F-35. Also remember, the B-21 is man and unmanned. The B-21 is being tested at Edwards Air Force Base. The B-21 has the same RCS as the F-22 of 0.00001. The B-21 can loiter over the S-400 without detection.

Ok smarty pants! How do you know in your great wisdom that it can in your so called words "loiter" over an s400? As if it's ever been tested in that way first of all and second of all any information such as that would be a closely guarded top secret! Not someone like you, so stop making things up, it makes you look silly, I just care about you and don't want people to laugh at your comments sir

The B-21 is just tech taken from the f-35 and f-22 programs. Which is the best route for the Air force to go really. Get a stealthy shape, more advanced RAM, lower cross section. Use the same tech you've already R&D with the f-35 and have as many commonalities in parts like engines and DAS as you can. That way upgrading one means an upgrade to the other. This will give the AF the ability to build more B-21's while keeping costs down and having parts to spare.
