I'm glad to see you put all of the fragrant herbs into the bowl of fish sauce, it gives the "broth" a nice frangrance to the savory and smoky meat patties and pork belly. Too many newcomers to bun cha eat the herbs on the side. It's cool to see Vietnamese dishes have such a variety of herbs, vegetables and even fruits in them.

The first day of VN lunar new year is on 10th Feb, so you need to prepare some food because many local food stores will close. If you have a veston suite without tie and your wife have a beautiful dress, so put its on and go around for Vietnamese new year. Enjoy the biggest moment of Vietnam holiday with ancient trandition. Happy new year

The fruit, or vegg you mentioned call: "raw, young papaya" Vietname name is đu đủ xanh". When it young, people usually made some kind of pickle, it is light& crispy😅

Oh and if u guys are staying in Vietnam during "Tet" aka Lunar New Year, then I suggest buying n stocking up on food because usually stores closed down for few days for "tet" n you'll have a hard time finding places open to eat. "Tet" starts this weekend. And yes " Nem Cua" means crab roll

The green pieces in your bowl are green papaya (unripe). I personally prefer kohlrabi because it's crunchier while the green papaya is more chewy. The sauce/ soup in your bowl is fish sauce with some water, sugar and vinegar. The rolls are crab rolls. Maybe that's why it's a little bit more expensive than other dishes you guys eat.

Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! -motobykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- rule traffic in Vietnam.

Mình cũng ở Thụy Điễn 40 năm rồi..chỉ đợi mùa hè nắng gđ chúng tôi mới nướng thịt ở ngoài trời..Mùa đông ở Thụy Điển tới 9 tháng..ko thể ngồi ở ngoài nướng thịt được.. Chúc gđ bạn chuyến du lịch thật vui vẽ..thưởng thức thật nhiều món ăn ngon tại đất nước VN chúng tôi..Chắc rằng các bạn sẽ ấn tượng khó quên lắm..vì nó quá hấp dẫn..làm cồn cào ruột gan mỗi khi nhớ tới nó😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉

In southern they’re used “ pickles green Papaya “ , but on Northern they’re always use “ pickles Kohlrabi’ ….. that’s different between North and South… Vietnam…..on Southern has “ grilled meat vermicelli “ . On Northern has “ bún chả “ , which is similar but a little different….

That green pickle is from a fruit called Chayote. English have similar one is Kohlrabi. The fried roll is called Nem, it has crab, Chinese glass noodle, mushroom, and other veggie.

All vegetable used for bún chả it contain medicine natural!! Húng quế - Basil,Cây kinh giới: Marjoram, Tía tô : Beefsteak plant...and it is more delicious when eat together with bún chả....we love it . When i sick i cook rice soup with Beefsteak plant and onion it reduce cold and flu include take medicine 😊 God bless you all

@@dananna8614 yes thank God bless our country is tropical weather so we have many herb around us that cointain medicine natural, yes because they think medicine pill ...is better but they don't know it is like knife have two way one is good and another is not good for the visual , it kill good virus and bad virus too, i like used garlic because it have strong antibiotic , i dont use much cause it is hot ....So nowaday we easier got sick easier than people in the past , include in the past it less polution..., Glad to talk to you God bless you all

😋😋😋😋😋yummy yummy and yummy 😝😝😝. Trong bát nước mắm chấm có thịt lợn nướng ( chả ) ,miếng Dan hỏi là quả đu đủ xanh papaya ngâm trong essig ăn kèm ngon , đỡ chán . Bún chả ngày nào ăn cũng được , phở thì không nhưng phở xào rau , thịt bò , hải sản cũng ngon lắm đó 😛

Lượng rau mà người Việt ăn hàng ngày chiếm khoảng 30%-50% so với thức ăn trên bàn 😂 Mỗi một loại rau là một vị thuốc tốt cho sức khỏe, có lẽ vì thế nên chúng tôi có thể thức dậy rất sớm hàng ngày 😂
