Thank you! I'm glad you liked my video. By the way, this isn't my first video. I started making videos back in 2018. While the content was good (let's be real, everyone thinks their content is good 😅), the editing, titles and thumbnails weren't that great. So I took a break, went on a spiritual journey, maybe meditated on top of a mountain or something, learned the necessary skills, and came back to make more videos.

Liked the discussion around settling in Bangladesh vs abroad. FYI: never had the experience of being forced to drink, do drugs.

I am currently living in Australia and tbh I never felt such kind of pressure. I regularly attend networking and gala events where alcohol is a pretty common beverage. But nobody ever pressured me to drink alcohol. In addition, I have attended some events where they kept a separate section for halal food items.

42:46 Bhaiya, i am currently studying in South Korea where its pretty normal to drink and smoke. Even none of the Koreans eat any other food without consuming alcoholic drink (Soju). I used to have very close friends of mine who used to smoke. They never got any chance to influence me to smoke, i never gave them any. Many of my friend even gets shock to hear that. I never tried to smoke. Even with force (out of fun) they were unable to to that with me. I am living in korea since long now, new friends new life, where its the norm to drink and smoke in korea. I see many of the bangalee people do that. I am friend of many, but they still couldn’t make me smoke or drink alcohol. I made my value differently with them that even if i dont do these type of stuffs l, i can still be their close ones. I disagree with mr nafees. I saw that podcast and thought of replying. But then again, hes more influential. And i believe hes one of the army of failure who couldn’t adapt with foreign environment. Also his family is so stable and he had so many choices unlike other Bangladeshi people. He should select his voice wisely.

Hi to all 3 of you. I have been in the UK for 2 years less a decade now, never had any peer pressure to do anything that I did not want to. Ar specifically on 'Mod Khawa' term, If I do a proper numbering, the total alocohol consumption / drug usage would be much more amongs my Bangladeshi firends who are living in Bangladesh. So, long story short, at the end of the day, you control what you do, not others. Simple math, if you fail to do such, blame is to be yours. Hope you agree.

In the west, the cultures of people pursuing master's or postgraduate degrees differ greatly from those of high school and undergraduate students. Real peer pressure exists. We create our own values as we age and mature and are better able to hold on to them. For individuals between the ages of 11 and 20, which are vulnerable, I can't say the same.

Except family, there are no reasons to get back to bd from my side. Yes i miss the food as enayet bhai said, but still it is not enough to beat the life style here. I just wish i could bring my family members here with me and thats it. Probably its because of what yahia amin said, we do not have enough patriotism in us, but this is what it is. On farhan bhai’s note, i agree, i was never even asked for the second time when i said no to drink alcohol. Was never forced. Only thing i can think about is the cultural difference between the undergraduate students vs postgraduate/phd students. There might be some little peer pressure as you will see your friends drinking in different occasions which might be hard to resist in the early age, but as far as I have seen the undergrad culture, i did not feel that anybody forces other person to drink. The grad students are more focused on research, projects, submission, so they are more focused and mostly do spend most of their time in study/work. Cheers.
