Me too, but the Explore is super tough for the right circumstances.

The A1 is still great, just not as tough but if you don't need extreme toughness the A1 is the way to go.

Thank you Donn! I still like the explore a lot, I am just not much of a camper and my balcony isn't exactly death valley either lol. Kevin was very happy with it and so are most people that bought them

Another thing to be carefull about Is when I bought the A1 I got counterfit speaker on amazon the first time. If there counterfeit they will not do stereo pairing on the b&o app. Some how I got a free beo play A1 from amazon cause they messed up on the color to.

If you can, always buy from an official retailer. Amazon doesn't do quality control all that well/checking for fakes all that well in my experience...

@@Mikipedia Hello the second time they did get it and there great now i have 2 A1 for stereo pairing. I also have the beo play h9i headphones to there my favorite.

the same but double, because stereo. so also a lot more volume, basically 2x the sound.

the issue I think with it, is that yes it is a super durable speaker but for $200 B&O could have made it sound 100% better. The sound is genuinely rubbish it has absolutely ZERO bass it is clear but that’s it. I bought one and returned it the next day, I really REALLY wanted to love it but I couldn’t. Sonos Roam is just as durable if not more and sounds a million times better and there’s plenty of other speakers like that. B&O really screwed up on this one I think. Got to get past the fact that it’s B&O if it’s crap, it’s crap don’t care what brand it is.

Thank you for the comment, but I have to disagree on some points. There is bass, if you take a normal starting point of measuring bass (roughly 150hz) then there is about 100hz of bass range. I don't disagree it's not the deepest or the most powerful but it's there for sure. I don't think it's rubbish either, it's made for a specific purpose and that it does well. It's not something B&O usually makes products for so I get it was unexpected. If one wants a speaker with more bass and less durability, it's still there in the range as a Beosound A1, but the explore last a lot longer and is waaaay tougher so if people like to go camping and the lot then this is a very good speaker for that purpose.
