This Songs was recognized in 1999 as the most sung and recorded Mexican song in the world. Mexican Songwriter Consuelo Velázquez wrote this song even though she had never been kissed yet at the time, and kissing, as she heard, was considered a sin, this French Version it’s just as beautiful as the original. When I was a toddler in lower Manhattan NY, I was in a crib near the family radio console. And this song stuck in my memory. I don’t know what year it was but they played it very often.

I an a native of Tucson, Az., & so was "Lalo Guerrero," both raised in "Barrio Viejo." So I'm an avid fan of him & his music. I love his version of this song, but to hear it in French, I'm in awe! Lalo Guerrero's music was used in the play/movie, "Zoot Suit," with Edward James Olmos playing lead in both. Check it out.

Dear Tatiana, greetings from small, but sunny and green Bulgaria. I am 67 and recently have been trying to collect all old and current songs and some classics that I like and can listen to indefinitely. I only managed to find about 2200 songs that I really love. Hola Tatiana: "Besame mucho" was composed by a 16 year old girl who had never kissed before! Aside this song, she wrote other hit songs, and she was born in Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico (about 2 hours from Guadalajara, land of the mariachi).

Soy mexicana y amo la música tradicional de mi país y en especial las composiciones de Consuelo Velázquez, he escuchado muchas versiones de esta canción y me parece perfecta en cada una de ellas, pero ¡Combinarla con Jazz y luego en francés! Lo siento, pero no estoy de acuerdo. La adorable cantante Tatiana Eva-Marie podría haber rendido más homenaje a Consuelo Velásquez cantando en español. Como cantaba en francés, la mejor interpretación de "Besame mucho", para mí, sigue siendo la de Andrea Bocelli.

I don't feel like a comment in English could do this performance justice, and neither my French nor Spanish is good enough. Very moving, and a strange experience for me as an English speaker who has a tiny bit of French and Spanish...to be sort of singing the Spanish in my head while hearing this French. Love it. Would love to see the French lyrics.
