Assuming this tri-lug system is reliable and safe long term (B&T most def has a real track record)…I believe this SQD system will become the industry standard and the RBS tech will get better and better. Just saw a video from 2024 SHOT show where B&T will just be making one model that can be configured from a full size into compact with a 2 piece body. Oh well, I have the full size one you featured in your video on the way. Thanks for posting…you don’t see many of these demos on KZfaq 👍🏻

Thanks for the video, Travis. I have the same suppressor but in the compact version planned for my KH9 Covert. The SQD feature looks awesome!

We’ll have the compact soon. Shoot me a text in about a week and we’ll get you a discount. Keep in mind the compact isn’t hearing safe even with subs but looks darn good.

Love the mounting system, and it sounds great. I do like the compact as well, but its not as quiet as other modular suppressor systems in their short vs. long length. Would definitely buy one though.

would it be possible to make a video on how to properly clean and lube a spc9? thanks!

Thank you for the video. I hesitate between the long and compact. What would be your advise?

How do you think the sound/backpressure compares to the GSL Fatman or Phoenix? You may be the only person on the web with experience with both.

I have experience with the Phoenix and RBS SQD compact. The Phoenix is quieter. The shooting experience is similar, but the chamber/action is cleaner with the RBS SQD. This leads me to believe the RBS SQD has slightly less backpressure (which is also logical given the RBS design). The backpressure difference when shooting may be more noticeable in suppressors that don't have the high-volume design advantage of the Phoenix. In general, I view the tradeoff with the RBS as adding a few DBs to get less backpressure. Be careful installing the SQD on different hosts. I got used to installing it on the B&Ts with one of the 3-lugs pointing straight up then installed on a different host with the lug being offset and initially thought it had locked on. It hadn't quite lined up properly and I was able to pull it off. You definitely want to double-check the mount has locked on properly.

Is this thing seriously hearing safe? I'm gonna get one for my GHM9 if so.
