That is an amazingly rusty chain for an official Microshift video 🧐

Of course not every microSHIFT bike is perfect, but this chain may a be little bit too "not perfect." I will demote the person that made this.

one of the reasons why I love microshift is because they included the adjustment tool guide in the package.

I love how you explain it so simple that it is so easy to understand. Please do the same with RD & FD high and low limit or overall tunning.

I was going over my cassette and derailleur because I have some grinding in the lower gears and I noticed that the spacing between the two is below the recommended amount but the b tension is pretty much maxed out at only 9 or so. there's no room on the screw to extend the gap
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
Hard to diagnose over the internet, but one thing to check is chain length. From what you're describing, it's possible the chain is cut too long.

just realized this is microshift and they actually produce good stuffs their rep in our country is kinda bad because of replicas

What adjustments should i be looking at,,as i ride dont matter what gear,,after free wheeling i start to peddle again but have no resistance for a few seconds,,which causes problems if im in forest going up hill,,
@Adam-vm8kp10 ай бұрын
Sounds like it could be your rear wheels freehub body on its way out.

what if guide pulley is too close and too far from sprocket ? 11-13 mm ok . but does this cause any disturbance if away or close ??
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
If the guide pulley is too close, it can hit the cassette when you shift, especially when you shift more than one gear. If the guide pulley is too far away, then shifting response is slower and there is less chain wrap.

Hey there I have a Centos 10s rear derailleur, what is my spec for the distance of my b tension? Where can I get that tool?
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
We don't have a tool for that derailleur. The adjustment is to set the b-tension to the point where the pulley gap is as small as possible.

what happens if it gets too close or too far?
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
If it's too far, the shifting performance will get worse. Shifts will be slower and less reliable. If it's too close, the guide pulley teeth can impact the cassette when you make more than one shift at once.

By shimano is it 5-6 mm away from the largest
@microSHIFTTECH9 ай бұрын
Depends on the derailleur, different designs have different recommendations.
@ev-ezaye35809 ай бұрын
@michaelbohm2884 like you said, that's Shimano's recommendation. This is content from mS specifically for their product!
@shanelagonoy8769 Жыл бұрын
I just set it as close as possible without it touching works fine tho💀 but will definitely be following the recommended 11-13mm
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
That's a bad idea! If you shift multiple gears at once, the guide pulley can come into contact with the cogs and potentially crack.

Should the same distance apply for other brands?
@microSHIFTTECH Жыл бұрын
Nope. The same distance doesn't even apply to our other derailleurs. Every derailleur is different, so you pretty much have to look up the instructions for your derailleur and go from there.
