Thanks for the video! I'm intending to install the same hitch on the same model of truck. Two questions -- #1, where is the towing point relative to the rear axle? How many inches forward or behind the axle? #2, with the ball in the stowage position, is there any risk of the differential or driveshaft hitting the ball under full suspension compression?

It’s directly over the axle. With how high/stout the suspension is on that pickup, I can’t imagine the circumstances that would cause that to compress to the point where the ball would make contact with the differential. I think you’d damage other parts prior to that being an issue. Keep in mind, mine is a K2500 “Trailering Special” with 12,500 GVW rating from the factory.

Two questions, do you have some leeway as to how far back or forward you install this thing? Also, from my research this seems to be the only gooseneck hitch receiver made specifically for the square bodies. Is that true?

You probably could but I wouldn’t mess with forward backward measurements. What are you trying to achieve by moving it? There are numerous options that are I guess universal although this may be the only turn over style.

@@fpsdano7446 From what I understand the ideal placement for a gooseneck hitch is about an inch or so in front of the rear axle, that way the front axle of the truck is able to carry a small percentage of the load, which slightly increases payload capacity. Since you have to drill the holes yourself, I was wondering if maybe it's possible to install it about an inch forward (instead of directly over the axle)

@@connorbunch3577 I’m sure that’d work but you think an inch will give you any more leverage? I don’t think so. The further forward you go the less play you have for distance between your rear bumper and the trailer. I’d install per the instructions. After all they make and test the hitch. B&W has been in the game a long time they know their shit.
