You are definitely multi talented designing new lures out of wood to make molds. Now you are designing lead molds that make fantastic looking underpins. I believe it won't be long, and you will be where you never imagine you would be in your hobby. Don't stop pushing yourself. You are almost there. Thanks for taking us along also. Oh, I forgot to mention... as to the length of the mold, I cut my blanks from bar stock that comes 144 inches (12 feet) long. The blanks are rough cut to length on a horizontal band saw, square to exact length on the big manual mill in the back shop, roughed for the hinges on one of the CNC mills in the front shop, and then the mold is cut. They get made to whatever length is needed to do the current job.

Awesome to finally see the mold in action!! cool video! I had no idea so much prep went into making the wire forms and everything. Very cool stuff. I feel like pouring lead is the next evolutionary step in my soft plastics career. LOL

Yeah it is a little more time consuming making the wire forms but well worth it to call it my own. I don't know anyone that does wire forming but I might be on the hunt to find someone to make them.

Awesome mold. I have a few of his stock molds. I have emailed him for some custom molds in the past. He's a busy guy. Hopefully, he'll return my email soon.

Nope, I actually had a company custom make me the wire forms!
