B9 S4 - AWE Tuning - Track Edition Exhaust Install
First I'd like to officially welcome AWE Tuning to the channel! I am very excited to be working with them on this car. You can really see the workmanship and attention to detail in their products. They make their exhaust systems to order, in house in Pennsylvania.
I used the provided PDF instructions mainly to do this install. It is very straight forward with a few complicated bolts to get to. Overall though if you have space to do it, and the right tools you can accomplish this on your own. I said it in the video, but my car has a stock downpipe/catalyst and this is the AWE Tuning track edition exhaust. That means no resonators, mufflers or valves. It has been a few days since install and I do not regret it one bit. It's not overly loud or obnoxious, and it sounds amazing.

@@Wobblenuts of course, fellow vet and b9 s4 owner. I ordered the same exhaust as you, waiting still for ship. But how difficult was to maneuver that S-wrench in there? I'll have the car on a ramp, not stands. Thx.

Hey Matt. Nice work, I've seen a few videos where that bolt on the down pipe causes issues. Perseverance paid off. The exhaust sounds great, even through my phone speakers. Thanks Myles. Yea that nut was an absolute nightmare, but I never give up once I start something. It was so damn hot that day. I’ve worked on the car a few times here in the last month and never was as sweaty as that day lol. And yea, Archer loves to go for car rides. And he doesn’t mind when I step on it a little haha. I’m try to install mine and the dp bolts are hard to get off so hopefully I buy the S wrench can do the job

Yea that one bolt is rough. But if you take your time and get the right tool you can make quick work of it.

When you go from sport mode to regular drive … does this exhaust system close the valves ? Automatically… I heard ecs tuning only does it

My exhaust no longer has valves. But when I go from D to S it does seem a bit louder. I guess the car raises the rpms or whatever. You might be right though. I think most aftermarket systems have a remote to control the valves.

Appreciate it. Honestly it’s not bad at all. It’s a little loud cruising around town but at highway speeds I don’t notice it. Very minimal.

It took a full day pretty much. The downpipe bolts aren’t too bad, but there are so many pieces and getting it lined up sucked.

We don’t have smog here in Florida. But, the exhaust doesn’t have any sensors since everything is up on the downpipe which is where the cat is.

It’s the OEM Audi one. I got lucky enough for the car to come with the carbon fiber package.

So I haven’t been under there in a while, but I also haven’t lost any oil since my last service. It’s definitely possible that it’s a very slow thing, but if I had to guess I’d still say rear main. It hasn’t given me any issues so I haven’t bothered.

@@Wobblenuts I just picked up a B9 S4, Orlando located, and definitely want to get these bolt ons as well. Idk if I can justify Milltek price when this AWE sounds just as good. Maybe craftsmanship? idk man. Love the spec on your S4
