“Swords of Iraq” (يا كاع ترابج كافوري) (Your Soil Is My Embalment) is a Ba’athist Iraqi war song written during the Iraq-Iran War. The song’s popularity among Iraqis has led to the song still being sung and unbanned after the toppling of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship in 2003, albeit with references to Saddam Hussein removed and being replaced with alternate lyrics.
The song is also sung by some sectarian elements of the Free Syrian Army, which support some sectarian Iraqi insurgent groups in Iraq.

"سيوف العراق" (يا كاع ترابج كافوري) هي أغنية حرب عراقية بعثية كتبت خلال الحرب العراقية الإيرانية. أدت شعبية الأغنية بين العراقيين إلى استمرار غناء الأغنية وإلغاء حظرها بعد الإطاحة بديكتاتورية الرئيس العراقي صدام حسين في عام 2003 ، وإن كان ذلك مع إزالة الإشارات إلى صدام حسين واستبدالها بأغاني بديلة.
كما غنتها بعض العناصر الطائفية في الجيش السوري الحر الذي يدعم بعض الجماعات الطائفية العراقية المتمردة في
العراق.

This is the FULL VERSION of the Ba’athist-era Swords of Iraq song! I also do not condone the government of Ba’athist Iraq or the policies of Saddam Hussein, nor do I condone the American-led invasion that ended his rule and began nearly 2 decades (As of 2022) of political, social, and economic instability and sectarian violence.

Yes, during the time of Saddam Hussein, Iraq🇮🇶 was the protector of the homeland and all Arab countries from the ambitions of America and Europe, but after the American and its allies’ occupation of Iraq, all Arab countries became unsafe, and the reason is the accursed America.

Yes, from two sources! Unfortunately, I forgot what both were specifically, but I do remember one of them (the latter part of the intro and onwards) being from Nashwan CH-1 (Iraqi TV archive channel).

It’s from the Associated Press (AP), which keeps several archived videos regarding the Ba’athist Iraq era (At least those that their crews could personally film). The second footage comes from a video recording by KZfaqr Rontor, who recorded the footage of the Iraqi Satellite Television broadcast in the opening hours of the Iraq War.
