The song has nothing to do with Saddam. The first verse says: Glory to Al-Sadr and his followers. I remember this song when America occupied Iraq.

The original uploader probably doesn't know Arabic. Anyways, I personally think it's a little funny that there were so many Muqtada al-Sadr supporters in the Shia-dominated Iraqi government the US set up, given the US was fighting al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army for a bit. Hell, even Saddam's executioners were chanting al-Sadr's name just before they hanged him.

@@taysondynastyemperor5124 In fact, Muqtada al-Sadr is the real president of Iraq. Despite his political stupidity and the opposition of some Shiites to him, he remains dominant over politics in Iraq. I hope his militias do not see my comment. 😅🤡

@@taysondynastyemperor5124that’s cause the US was too stupid to realize that the people the put in charge to run the country were all pro Iran after they fired all the experienced bureaucrats who actually gave a shit about Iraq.

Are you an Arabic speaker? What’s the context behind the song if your aware, that would be great to know.
@moezmedia983 ай бұрын
@@imperiorii5781 It's a Sadrist remix/take, the first line states 'Glory to Sadir and his followers' then states 'He came to help the land, he said his word and won't go back, he came to Iraq and raises it up', the line that states 'Justice is not lost with the help of the land' remains the same. Then states 'Baghdad is for us and we won't give it up, it's Arabic and we are proud of it' similar to 'This land is ours and we won't give it up' from the original Baa'thist song, I am of course paraphrasing a little bit since I am no pro in translation.

My dad was at the saddam statue when it fell, i know alot, it was a song sang in the iraq iran war for the soldiers of iraq and it resembles the dead soldiers of iraq, you hear that singing voice? They are dead iraqi soldiers right now @imperiorii5781
