In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Silent. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. This is such a perfect display of the complexity of StS- the fact that by the end of the run, the main value of the backstabs was that they exhausted, opening you up to insane combos, rather than the 100+ damage they could deal is just incredible.

New player to the game as of a month ago, completely addicted and LOVE it. Love your content too, excellent work. My question is how do you see that it is a burning elite on the map and how you custom mark out green icons on the map to keep track of where you will go?

Burning elite comes automatic with higher ascension levels. It has the normal elite picture with flames surrounding it. The custom mark comes from a mod. Look for it in the steam workshop.

at 7:25 wouldn't escape plan have been amazing with that deck? it would have kept redrawing itself, reshuffling the pack and adding 6 abacus block and 3 escape plan block every time, allowing you to block as much as you like each turn

So the ordering of escape plan is do the draw first meaning it can’t draw itself. You could combo with 2 escape plans or any of the other draw skills so still viable but needs more deck control

@@bbftb8791 It does. Snecko will try again in a later round and eventually Confuse you, but artifacts are very helpful in the Snecko-fight, since Snecko takes a full round only to remove one artifact layer from you.

Gamble+Reflex triggers at least 3 Abacus procs? I think it's 3, there's so much craziness happening that I'm not sure. It might be 4. Not that it matters. Edit: it's three

Around 57:43, one cycle of Blur+Gamble changed his block from 97 to 123. So: 26 net block 30 raw block before Beat (two cards played) Less 6 block from Blur (frail), 6 block from afterimage Leaves 18 block, so three abacus procs

Look on the top right of your screen. It's the string of letters and numbers. Seed that appears for you should work for anyone else so long as they enter the same string.

On the Title Screen, look under Statistics, then under Run History. You can look back at previous runs and copy your seed number from there by clicking on it in the upper-right corner.

@@supernova0302 It's better than writing it down manually, since the font they use is kinda crap, and several characters are indistinguishable from other characters. O vs 0, for instance, or i vs L.

Can someone explain how he manages to get so many identical cards from a Pandora's Box? Is it a hack or mod? Is it a custom run with super specified conditions that limit the choices for Pandora's Box? Or maybe it's a specific seed run that happens to have the one in a million outcome of all the same card being generated?

It's a seeded run that someone else found. If you input the seed code that Baalor used you'll get the same exact start, so if you pick the boss swap at the beginning you would also get all these backstabs.

There's a mod that allows you to specify how you want to start a run by finding the seed that corresponds to what you want. I'm pretty sure someone else used that and sent him this seed to play with.

Theoretically it is possible, practically it would be something like a one in a billion run. Basically, everything from map layout to the cards and relics you get throughout the run is determined by a random seed and if you choose to start a game with very specific seeds, crazy stuff can happen.

The infinite using calculated gamble, reflex, and grand finale is definitely possible in a real game: I have done it myself. Finding all those backstabs in a real game is possible but unlikely.
