In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Ironclad. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

I finished my ascension climb by basing most of my early card choices off of Baalorlord’s Ironclad card tier list. Screenshot it and give it a reference every now and then. It really helped 😁.

I’m on ascension 10 but I will say that I’ll take the beautiful choice over the optimal one every time. Making optimal choices often produces a “junk deck”

You forgot the coolest part about rogue book.. you control two heroes at the same time. You can swap them with different cards and there are synergies for swapping at times.

Orange pellets will remove the snecko eye debuff, but you're still stuck with your opening hand being random cost. Kind of an underwhelming interaction when I tried it, ha

can someone who had these 2 items explain their interaction, Sneko eye and artifact on round start from the relic

You get sneckoed before the artifact applies, so you can't actually block the confusion with artifact.

Clockwork souvenir states "at the start of each combat, gain 1 artifact". Snecko eye states "Start each combat confused". The difference is subtle, but to "start each combat confused" means you were confused already once the combat started. The souvenir gives you artifact "at the start of combat", at which point the confused debuff is already applied, so it can't prevent it. Tbf, not all relic descriptions are completely accurate, so you do have to verify with experience. But it makes sense to me, in any case!

19:32 Since relics are in order, wouldn't it be better to have that now? The alternative would be for it to show up in the act 2 chest, which is significantly worse.

He never said it wasn’t good to have now he just said “I think”because those two extra relics could be relics that don’t help him.

You would skip an act 2 matryoshka for blue key because it would be hard/unreliable to get full value out of it and taking it means you lose your act 3 relic anyway. It would've been better to get it in the act 2 chest so he could've skipped it, although with hindsight analysis, bottled flame is arguably even better to skip so it worked out.

I have never seen a path that has 4 elites. I very rarely even get a path with 3 elites. I almost always only get paths with 1 or 2 elites. Is my game broken?

One of the ascension modifiers is elites show up more often. If you are playing on A0 it is very common to see one or two elites

SPOILER ALERT! 1:13:27 Baalorlord makes a huge misplay by not playing a block card first, which would have left him with the perfect amount of health at the end of the fight.

Bludgeon is my favorite card in the game. It's expensive, it's got a lot of damage, it has no benefits other than a lot of damage. On paper it's a terrible card and shouldn't work in a deck, realistically, I can win with it all the time.
