Hazoor, Ichra was a village and not part of Lahore, where as Unduroon sher is the real lahore,My family is from Ichra, My grandfather “Allama Mashraqi “ who’s havali is still there, I have seen pictures of the havali from the 1920 s and there was nothing surrounding it, other then fields, this is Zaldar Road, right behind the bazaar where you were.

Depends you want to talk based on which Era. Ichrrah was there before arrival of mughals. Mughals built the walled city. Ichrrah was there before them which was the real lahore .your grand father Alleman mushreqi started his khaksar movement from ichrrah. Saying ichrrah was a village and the inside lahore was a city doesn't prove which one of them is real lahore. Ichrrah has more proves and logical explanation for being the real lahore than a city and some gates buit by mughals. Lahore was named after Ram's son loh.sinces its more ancient it has to be ichrrah which is older than walled city.

I was born and bred in Ichra, Lahore. I left Ichra in 1998 and moved to UK. This guy at 18:40 is telling the truth that there were fields in Ichra 70 years ago. My Uncle who is 90 years old now said the same thing to me that Ichra now is not what it was when he was young.

Baba Azam chouk is named after my great grand father. We are Kambo tribe(whom are rajpoots infact..you can check history) ichrrah is crowded now its true but it wasn't just fields it used to be farms of jujube trees owned by arain and kambo families. As well as khokhars were there since almost ancient times. The problem is that most of punjabies are not educated enough and also not interested in research and history. If you read and research instead of relying on your 90 year old uncle you would find out much more. Ichhrah was mentioned by many travelers who came to this world in 6th and 7th century.

Dear , I am a true Lahoria as well , bro ,why don't Indian govt sponsors the redemption and preservation of temples and sacred places , indeed this will be a kind of preservation of the heritage and culture .Keeping in view prevailing circumstances, Pak govt not in a position to carry out these tasks , I am led to believe that with current Indian financial and economical position , this task shouldn't be any issue 😊, it's just my personal opinion anyway !
