I always thought that trolley problem is really stupid because why wouldn't you save 4 people and sacrifice one, but i just realize that the idea is that when you let that one person die you killed him because you pulled the lever unlike for those 4 people whose death is not your fault if you didn't do anything. Tho this action or inaction idea is still pretty weak because trolley problem is always depicted as you already have a full controll of the lever, so it's really are your fault if either of those people died

Trolley Problem isn't about saving people, it's about your score. Like those World War I fighter pilots that mark every plane they shot down, the Trolley Problem is about pruning weirdos that won't listen to their mother about playing on the tracks, and the ultimate solution to the Trolley Problem isn't a binary top lane or bottom lane, it is 'Multi-Track Drifting'.

It's actually pretty easy and here's why: If you don't do anything - you don't kill anyone. It's not your fault that those people or whatever objects happened to be on the main trolley track and It's not for you to decide to change the course of trolley, because only then if you pull the lever, it will be a moral problem, if you pull - you'll have to explain why you'd decided to sacrifice one for the other. And now it becomes clear that the only possible solution in any trolley "problem" is to NEVER take action. That has been my position on this topic for decades, Have a good day!

There's another part to the thought experiment too, where once again, you have a trolley going towards 4 people on a track, but this time you are on a bridge above the tracks with a fat man. You can choose to push the man onto the tracks, causing the trolley to stop or do nothing. The interesting part is the massive difference in how many people would push the man vs pull the lever in the original even though they are statistically the same.
