The Babolat MNSTR is the preferred paddle of a couple of excellent players that I know. The Babolat RBEL is also a good paddle.
Considering the amount of added power, touch, spin, and larger sweet spot, I prefer the MNSTR with an outdoor ball. www.babolat.com/us/mnstr-power/160005.html
Considering the slightly lighter weight and thinness and added control, I prefer the RBEL with an indoor ball. www.babolat.com/us/rbel-power/160003.html

Great video. I have paddles from Engage, Selkirk, Paddletek, and Head. My favorite paddle for touch and power is the Paddletek Wave Pro. I was wondering how the Baboloat MNST compares. I may buy it regardless but wondering if you an opinion. Thanks

If you like the Paddletek Wave Pro, you should like the Babolat MNST. They are very similar in the power/control spectrum. Since the MNST is a little thicker, I believe it has more touch.

@@PickleballLibrarian I ordered the paddle. Just sold my Selkirk Amped for 90.00. It was a nice paddle and very similar to the wave pro but with less touch at the net. With the wave pro I can really lay down some mean dinks. I really don't think I need any more power because I can easily generate my own power. I did try the Gearbox cx 14. I love the surface texture and it played well but I didn't love it and the weight seemed light. The handle was too long and bulbous at the end. I don't use 2 hands so long handles are not a must for me.

@@PickleballLibrarian One last question. Which paddle do you believe has the largest sweet spot and best touch at the net? I can already see I'm obsessed.lol

@@frankparisi2433 That is a tough question! For largest sweet spot, I like the Gearbox CX11 Control. For touch, too many great paddles! The new Selkirk Project 003 has amazing touch.

What about the Babolat MNSTR Touch? Best of both worlds?

According to John Petty, the MNSTR Touch is also a fine paddle, but the Power version makes better drops. IMO the extra weight of the Power helps me block better. If one prefers a lighter paddle, the MNSTR Touch might be the right choice.

How does it compare to the GX5 Green?
@PickleballLibrarian

All are good paddles! The Gearbox is very thin. If I'm playing on an extremely windy court, I might prefer the Gearbox because that thinness will help it cut through the wind. IMO the MNSTR is closer to the GX5 Orange. However, the MNSTR has more power and touch but less control than the GX5 orange.

@@PickleballLibrarian bought gearbox cp7...its good ...But after addingg lead tape to my prokennex 189.dollar paddle its even better..lead tape really helps for power anf less dead spots for dinking.

I have both. Rebl touch I use for doubles. Mnstr power I use for singles.
@PickleballLibrarian

I can definitely see that. The rebel touch has a lot more control why the monster would give you a lot of power for singles where it's needed.

Don't you know that it's extremely windy in Kansas? Ever watch Wizard of Oz and see Dorothy's home away? Also my long wavy hair is blowing all over the place! Actually I often use a small post-it note with dimensions and prices because that's the only thing in Kansas that doesn't blow away, and I don't to mess that part up. 😊
