I liked Lithuanian food quite a lot when I was on holidays in Lithuania last summer. Druskienniki, Wilno, Kowno, Troki - nice places, friendly people, good food. Where are 'Kibinai' - I had the impression that this is most famous Lituanian snack

Kibinai, Kybyn, Kibin (plural in Karaim language: kybynlar; singular in Lithuanian: kibinas) are traditional pastries filled with mutton and onion, popular with Karaite ethnic minority in Lithuania.

When I was young I had a Polish friend at school and she served us herring with onions and vodka! Also the key to tongue - you have to peel it to get rid of the outer layer.

In Croatia, in some restaurants you also get garlic(češnjak) bread for the start. :) We also have sour cream and boiled potatoes in some dishes. Interesting we say "kesten" for chesnut. I'd never imagine eatin cheese with plums! :D Salad you are eating at 27:00 we also have here with little pickle cubes and we call it "French salad". You are awesome couple. :)

This time in Siaulai! And obviously I ate so much baked bread with cheese that later my stomach how hurting like crazy! But still it was worth it!

Thanks for this Skill and Vivi, this was an interesting glimpse into foods that are pretty foreign to us folks over here in America. That fried bread looks pretty fantastic, and the peas and pork cracklings with hot sauce looked pretty great. Oh and the potatoes with sour cream as well. A lot of those dishes might be interesting to try, though I'd follow Skill's advice and hard pass on the fish and onion soup. I enjoy watching your vids on this channel and learning about things in your country, I look forward to the next installment.

Awesome introduction to Lithuanian food, my wife and I wish we were there with you trying that food out, but not sure if you already had this planned but could you make a video showing traditional Lithuanian street food? Or market/festival food? Also what do Lithuanians traditionally do when they want to do a bbq? Love from Australia!

hello from Greece skill and vivi! 1) The garlic bread in greece is 10/10 (butter, roasted garlic salt peper) 2) The peas we make it soup (red with tomatoes or simple and add just lemon) 3) The potatoes are everywere like bananas :P :P 4) This kind of food is a good snack for a drink party as you said! And has so many options to make it! 5) This food is something out of my league! I don't eat fish! Only in soup i will make an exeption! How dare you not eating onions...!!!Shame!!! 6) The soups are fantastic! But first of all the chef must be good at making soups! Every chef is good at one or two thinks! Oh the tongue....A lot of memories in this plate! So many drunk nights!!! When we go out and get drunk after that we go to eat, and we order a soup called ( PATSA) and we have boiled tongue as a side dish with a lot of lemon! PATSA is a soup with meat and a lot of fat that is melted from the boiling in the time you make this soup! Love you guys and i love learning new thinks about you and your place! The sound was ok but skill your voice was more on my left speaker and vivi's was more on the right speaker!

I would try everything but the fish head soup. (Tried a Mexican version of it before and nooope. lol Eyeballs aren't very tasty..) There's some similarities between Mexican and Lithuanian dishes, apparently. Cow tongue is big, and usually in a burrito, diced or chopped, with some sauce. Delicious! Fish head soup is big, as well. Oh, I'm caucasian and from the US South, so anything with cheese and potatoes is always a yes! Finally, in most cases, I don't like radishes or beets, but I'd try that pink zoup in a heartbeat, if The Baboon King says it is the best! Cheers!

Pro tip skill: For reviving crunchy stuff like fries, that awesome looking garlic bread, pizza, meat with breading, and most other good thing use an air fryer. I told my microwave to go pizdec, after I got this thing. Takes a couple of minutes longer, but it IS WORTH every second.
