French nuclear tests irradiate an iguana into a giant monster that viciously attacks freighter ships in the Pacific Ocean. A team of experts, including Niko Tatopoulos, conclude that the oversized reptile is the culprit. Before long, the giant lizard is loose in Manhattan as the US military races to destroy the monster before it reproduces and it's spawn takes over the world.

I used to love this sequence as a kid, this movie still left most of us a great impression and childhood memories. I agree with some of you, this is the closest live action of "Dino Crisis" we can get.

This was a fun movie for its time idk why people have to put so much negativity into everything, the baby zillas being a terror in msg was epic at the time

because it was just trying to ride off of jurassic park, adult zilla was the r ex and the babys are too much like the raptors, the hate is from g fans because godzilla is terribly represented, this one runs away from the military and gets killed by missiles, the real godzilla faces and destroys the military likes its nothing, the 98 zilla goes to new york to lay eggs, the real godzilla attacks humanity as punishment for nuclear testing or fights awesome arrays of monsters, the design is just a trex with back plates and a big chin, not a bad design for an original monster, but godzilla is meant to be an upright lumbering monster, it doesnt need to be agile cause nothing destroys it, 98 zilla dont even have atomic breath. it just misses the appeal of godzilla, the filmmaker even said that he didnt understand the appeal of godzilla. the movie as itself is just mediocre, but as a godzilla movie it just doesnt work

I literally got this movie on VHS when i was 5 years old. It was an Easter Day present. It's not good by any measure, but it does give me a form of solace now, at the age of 31

No matter how many times I see it, 0:19 always makes me think this baby is about to attack Audrey as it sneaks up right behind her. I know it doesn't, but it sure looks like it will.

The crazy thing is they are babies and they are all the fish while then it they get out they are pretty much bullet resistant and extremely agile and powerful. They would absolutely wreak havoc on the environment.
