That's the only way I go. Wifey and my two sons. It's a lot of hard work setting up and tending to everyone's needs but it's a blast!

As an avid ice fisher all my life, the warmer days..a good insolated tent and full on play pen works fine. Rent a shake even if it helps mummas anxiety as a parent xo it can be done safely.

Expectations are key. I remember my dad taking all six of us out perch fishing. He had the patients of Jobe. I'm sure he never wet a line but we all did. And when I took my girls fishing I knew from his example that it was all about them having a fun time and honestly the memories we made and are still making are gold. Enjoy you family and make those memories.

This is the best Jay. My dad tells me all these stories from when I was that age. And I feel like I can recall him saying he brought the jumper to the shack (12x12 tarp shack with a wood stove for heat) some of the best memories were the first ones. This brought a lot joy to me seeing you be a great dad.

What a great video! My kids are 9 and 11. We ice fish all the time. We watch all your videos and Meat eater too. Ice fishing is great for kids because the required skills are lower than regular fishing or fly fishing. And a little screen time to pass the slower moments is okay. Thanks for sharing this moment with all of us.

It’s hard at first but if they get used to it by the time they can walk they know the drill. Lol Great memories. Been taking our three out from about that age as well. Now at 3 and 5 the girls can get their own flags. The little one at 1.5 can walk around and knows to stay out of holes. All though they have all stepped in one at least once. Pack extra cloths once they start walking.
