She’s all go when she’s going, but an absolute love bug too. Look at the last video I posted. She laid with her head in my lap snuggling for over 25 minutes. She is a special, special girl.

I was worried with our first foal, even though it’s coated wire, but they are surprisingly aware of it. Maudie is only a week old in this video.

She’ll have one in about a week! Just giving her time to get control of those legs and let mama have some time to recover before she has to chase her around 10 acres. They’re only in the nursery for 2 weeks.

If I hit the lottery (which I have only played maybe 5 times in my life), I would like to have a farm where I could care for unwanted burros. Watching them be safe and free would be wonderful.

When she’s a week old, she needs some containment so she can learn to use those legs without getting hurt or running mama into the ground. She’s already out in a 7 acre pasture now at 3 weeks old.
