A typical 4-thread stitch with the knife adjusted to its default setting.

I can not get the lower looper to thread...it 'blows' the thread out

Why does both needles come unthreaded when I have just threaded them?

Hi Linda, This reply is probably two years too late, but this is what I have found. The needle is either 1. - Old (swap it over for a new one) 2.-The wrong needle (don't use a sewing needle in your serger ... they are usually very different) 3.-The needle has been put in back-to-front (easily done, as this is what I do commonly!!) 4.- Make sure there is enough thread coming out of the eye of the needle, before you start to serge. I hope this helps.
