Love the pigeon videos! You axually convinced me onto starting my own loft and I got 7 pigeons now

I used to keep pigeons for a few years. One thing I noticed about the babies, handling them consistently isn't always enough. The best thing I found that helps with bonding is doing some hand feeding after they reach 3 weeks or so, around the time their eyes open up. This helps to associate you with food.

I also mix in some red grit (pure grain brand) and you can mix a couple tablespoons of red cell once a month or so .

It's a very good thing that you're breeders get as much feed as they can eat thats why your young birds look so good

Nice video! Really like your youngsters. 2 Little tips.... put some pieces of garlic in the pigeons drinking water. Good for their health. And place some minerals and vitamine powder in the loft. They eat a lot of it when they are on youngsters. Good luck!!👍

Just drove through Kansas yesterday going down 27 I think, along with some long back roads. Saw 2 rooster pheasant and a good number of dove. Not many pigeon s.

Don’t let the babies be in that wet nest they will die make some holes on the bottom at least so the moisture comes out of it if you clean the nests and keep them healthy you won’t ever lose any babies

Those young pigeons remind me of buttermilk squab. Those are too pretty for that.😁 On the large clutch size, it might be a thing this year with big animal families. Like 4 moose calves, larger than normal puppy litter, triplets and quads in goats and sheep this year. One sheep guy told me he went from a herd of 14 to 48 because of quads triplets and a set of 5 lambs. My 2 goats kidded 4 and 3. 9 puppies in a litter up a couple from normal 6 or 7. Chicks seem to be hatching pretty good to. 70 chicks out of about 80 eggs. Population explosion. It's a good problem.

Do you have those nest in plastic containers up in the ceiling where it has a suffocating affect on top of the birds sitting on the babies and the little birds will not make it one always had to speak for the other and that’s the one that has the most nervousness hi in the ceiling too much heat all emptiness containers you should take down
