If your ducks are laying soft shelled eggs, it's a calcium deficiency. The band your calling a tracker is just a ets band it automatically clocks in the bird, they don't need to catch the bird and clock them in manually anymore.

Thanks for another great video.I am always amazed at the range of poultry you have.It will be interesting how the canada's go.I am curious just how far the racer has flown.I agree with you ,I don't think the owner will want his pigeon back .Keep us informed .Keep the vids coming ,all the best from Australia.

Some racers are ruthless with birds that get lost or take too long getting home. It also looks like a yearling so it is possible the owner just did a bad job of training it before trying to race it. If it is a dumb one, you do not want it passing on genetics to your flock. Since it is banded and being actively raced, it should be easy to track down the owner. I am curious how it turned out.

Hiya Jordan, the video is not messy, it's the way folk with livestock have to be as I know, great content and always look forward to your vids whether trapping, shooting, auctions or general stuff. It would be great to see the outcome with the racer, there are so many things we can't do in the UK as the bunny huggers try and stop everything, is the butcher shop yours? Yeah keep us informed on the progress with the Racer Pigeon that`s interesting. I think the Person that owns the Pigeon will come and get it simply because it has a Tracker on it.

It’s a timer to clock in the bird from a race once it enters the loft. Not a tracker

Great video man. In my experience with lost racing birds is most done want them back just the tracker. The last one told me if they get lost or don't make it home they don't want it. But it's always best to try to contact them and ask

Yeah pretty much how it goes with the hardcore racers. If by chance the bird did find it's way home after a prolonger period, all that awaits it is death.

Thanks for posting this video. We live in Illinois and found a racer that got lost off track coming back from Iowa and contacted the owner/ bird combine and he didn’t want the bird back despite living about 60 miles away and me even offering to meet him half way. So sad. Luckily we found an amazing rescue in Chicago that will be taking the bird in. My introduction to this “hobby” that people participate in has been awful. I’m sure there are a lot of responsible people but many that don’t seem to give a rats behind about their lost birds either. Thank you for choosing to help this bird and for letting us know that other people out there are trying to do the right thing by these sweet birds.

Let us know what the band numbers and letters are. We can figure out which club, and person who it belongs to. Everyone has a bird or few birds go missing every once in a while. If you made contact with them, they’ll usually say keep the bird. But atleast they’ll know where there birds go when they don’t come home.

It is awesome that you guys saved the Pigeon but the sad reality is most people will kill a bird that is found and returned cause it is deemed no good to them

I like seeing all the auction animals even if you have to break it up into multiple videos. I watch for the auctions, animals, and pigeons. Not into hunting personally so I don't watch those. You had asked for our opinions on the auction footage. Also I think the pigeon owner will say release him if you think he will make it otherwise keep him.

suggestion : a racing pigeon like that if nobody wants to collect it , you may keep it as your breeder in your stock bird , the bird is strong , just bath it off for ticks & for cleansing purposes , in the future you may breed & have his / her genes for you , who knows it may bring you good luck in your racing tournaments , ok bro.

What are you doing with the pigeons? I’ve always thought they were nuisance birds who he’d pooped everywhere. I know about the racing, & messages. Do you eat them? Taste like dove’s?
