Hey! I love all your videos, they are awesome and really great to learn from! They are basically the only reason I can play any songs on the guitar! I was wondering is there any chance you could do 'How' by Lisa Loeb it's part of the soundtrack to Jack Frost the film? Thanks!!

Luis Luzia A classical guitar will sound very different to a steel string (like I play in my videos). What sort of sound are you looking for? Classical has a more mellow sound (and traditionally is not strummed with a pick), where as steel string has more of a rock/folk style higher sound and punch. If I was you spend some time listening to classical vs steel string guitars. Keep on playing.

Brilliant lesson! Love the little details in the hammer on and flicks, very helpful. Just one thing, do you think there should be a f#m on the 'cryin' out loud' line? It sounds right to me. I found it on Ultimate guitar chords. Great work. Keep it up!

Drue you are a rock star. I love it when you teach songs that have been written with so much heart. You made it so easy to follow your thorough instruction. I really like that you put skip ahead points in the video for brevity for those of us that know the chords. Keep up the genuine great work my friend.

its more accurate to play the verses with the same first cord but instead of strumming finger pick the 3rd string, pause for a moment and then flick up the the first and second strings together and then hammer down, let that ring out and then move to 6th string 3rd fret, 2nd string second fret, 3rd string 4th fret and pick the 6th string and second string together, wait a moment and then flick up the 3rd string and repeat. the sound is way more accurate to what youre playing like jesus this song isnt time of your life by green day get your shit together if you are going to teach the song then teach it right. also its f#m instead of the second A in the corus.

You have just ruined this incredible song for me. Your voice was way off key and too fast of a tempo. It's not a stupid Green Day song. The chords are wrong. The opening Dmaj7 has a F# with the thumb. The chorus goes Dsus4 A Em F#m7 D A. Em G D. A Em A.
@lovetooski
@lovetooski 6 жыл бұрын
I agree on the chord assessment, I have a friend that just glances over the F#m and substitutes an A as well and chanced on this video to show him the correct progression, but alas, this fella missed it too....
