Very simple life but still happy

Here in America I built a small house for myself, solar power a rain water tank and wood stove for winter, now my two daughters live with me and I had to provide a modern home. I miss the race and quiet of being alone in the forest by myself.

That family is poor compared to our standards but in my opinion they are the richest people in the world and I envy them. Beautiful family truly.

good morning mae I follow your videos with great interest I am perplexed by the simplicity of these girls who despite the various difficulties in life find the strength to smile and look for a way to move forward I hope to visit you one day!

I lived in the provinces for a month in worst condition not a compliant came out of my mouth because I seen how happy people were just to eat another day. When I got back to the states complaining about what I don't have. I make 6 figures I have a Home, car and good health we as westerners are so dam spoiled and privilege. The Philippines changed my life.

Sad but their home looks far better than the thousands of tents one can see from the Freeways and streets in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. The sheer number of homeless in many large cities including Philidelphia is surreal and it isn't getting any better in the USA.

Wow, they live on the beach and have that beautiful view. You do have to live where you work and that makes it more convenient. But that is a small boat to fish from in the ocean.

I hope she finds a good job, i'm also glad to hear she knows how to swim. I find it interesting how many people don't know how to swim when they are surrounded by water.

This is the lifestyle in the Philippines. All countries have this way of living. I have lived in the Philippines and i married to a Filipina. Actually, I have somewhat mixed thoughts. We all want a place to call home and to be ours however what they have there is a sense of community. To belong, fit in, and to be relatively happy given the all is quite important in my book. I do get it~ but no property taxes, not so many regulations, less territory, and bad neighbors. I do hope there are improvements but Enjoy the togetherness and happiness along the way. Sometimes it is the journey where we are most happy and not so much the destination. Thanks for sharing. You have shown what I had learned when I visited. An extension of togetherness (ability to get along) and love, even given what the situation seems to be or is. God Bless all who are able to both give and receive such thoughtful love ...many kinds of love but the ability of these people to live (seemingly) in a respectful and helpful way is...community.

Thanks to her for showing us. I would say its not so bad. Shes ocean front. People pay millions for that.. if i was in that situation id much rather be there than under a bridge or in a metal house. Only concerns would be with rain and mosquitos. And the roosters would drive me insane but thats pretty much everywhere in province. If they were able to build a floor , patch up some of the gaps they would be good to go. And even sleeping on some clothes you dont use anymore would give some padding... i see the one girl still has internet ... very interesting video mae thanks.
