Easily the most under-watched under-rated song they have. It's got everything you could want from a Babymetal song. Kawaii as hell, great work from the Kami band, lots of vocal participation from Yui and Moa, and of course Su just absolutely kills it.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 📺 Thanks for reacting to this one, it's one of my favorites, and often overlooked. 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' is a special BABYMETAL song. As other commenters have mentioned, it's a cover of a Kiba of Akiba release. Unlike any other BABYMETAL cover though, it has been performed live at least twenty times, the last few with full Kami Band accompaniment. And of course it has it's own Mikiko designed choreography.

That will be a show you must not miss. They are playing 19 other dates all around the US in September and October. Also have you heard their new single 'PA PA YA' (featuring Thai rapper F. Hero) or the other new song (being called Shanti by fans at the moment) - there are videos for both from Glastonbury UK a couple of weeks ago and an official video for 'PA PA YA' (which will get blocked if you use it for a reaction). This was part of a collaboration with "death pop" band Kiba of Akiba - they released a 'split single'. I am quoting wikipedia here - "The single contains two original songs, one performed by Babymetal ('Iine') and one by Kiba of Akiba, and two bonus tracks. The first bonus track, "Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai - Answer for Animation with You" is a cover of the Kiba of Akiba song "Animation with You", as performed by Babymetal. This is one of my favorite Babymetal songs even though it is a cover song. I love the way all the ladies sing in this one.

Great reaction!! This song is lost right now, it's sad to say but they never gonna play it again, also is a cover of a band called kiba of akiba and they make a cover of Doki Doki Morning... They did a show at Glostonbury UK at the end of June this year - BBC broadcast the show and the videos (really good audio/video) are available on UT - kzfaq.info?search_query=babymetal+glostonbury+2019 - now you can see how they look grown up. I saw an interview with Marty Friedman a while back where he talks about Babymetal and the way that the Japanese music scene is constantly trying out new things - throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks - Babymetal was one that really stuck.

Sadly they playing this song no more. This is the only cover version BABYMETAL ever made that got a regular release. It was part of a collaboration EP they made with the band Kiba of Akiba. Yo guys, there is "Elder Metal" in Japan as well ("Baby" is not the only thing, I mean). Old guys are still kicking and rocking hard in Japan.... This song does not appear on their two CD's and others have commented about it. For me, it has everything that makes BabyMetal super wonderful. I get completely mystified how people can watch this performance and still not 'get' BabyMetal. You have the kawaiiness, Su's voice and the Kami Band all producing a fantastic spectacle that has to be seen and heard to be believed. Thanks for your reaction. I actually feel a bit sad now because this can't be repeated. Yes, BabyMetal can still perform it but Su and Moa are grown up and whoever the third person(s) will be, is not Yui.

I'm not really a fan of their cover songs, with few exceptions. But other fans seem to really like this song, so apparentl I'm the odd one. :-) I'd like to see you react to one of their new songs "Pa Pa Ya" or "Shanti" (inofficial name). Both are great! But you probably can't show them just like that without getting blocked. Edit: Wait, did you say you have seen Pa Pa Ya? Why haven't I seen you see it? :-)
