You missed out!!! IF THEY CAME TO THE STATES? They came in 2014, twice. 2015, 2016, 2017. In 2018 and 2019 they came to Texas!! Dallas, Houston, and Austin in 2018, and Dallas and Houston in 2019. Plus they also did an arena show in LA in 2019 as an album release concert. Let's hope they do a tour in '23 or '24. I've been to 20 of their shows, including Tokyo Dome. I hope to you see you at the next Texas shows. Yes, shows. Plural. Cause you can't just see them once. I live in San Antonio and have done road trips with friends, not only to the Texas shows, but also the west coast and NYC shows. Following the band from city to city is super fun with friends.

Babymetal live in Japan is an experience like no other. No-one else except Rammstein puts on a show equal to what Babymetal does. Their performances aren't concerts so much as they are theatrical productions, in which the crowd is an active participant, as you saw with the chanting and the bowing. #notacult Babymetal is the brainchild of their producer Kobametal (Key Kobayashi). He is the one who came up with the idea of blending together J-pop and heavy metal music to create a hybrid style. He is a lifelong metal fan and wanted to revitalize interest in metal in Japan, and he thought this would be a good way to introduce metal to a new audience.

Rammstein is immediately disqualified after some of the things I saw them do on stage. It's absolutely disgusting and a mockery to their own music, maybe they're secretly wanting to change industry... BABYMETAL are the greatest live performers as of now, with actual talent to boot.

Great reaction. I think I saw clips of concerts in this from as far back as 2013 right through to 2020 - as wilde thing said the crowds ranged from 8-9,000 at the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 to 55,000 at the Tokyo Dome in 2016 and the other concerts were anywhere in between those numbers. 'Headbanger' is a great song - I was so happy it was back on the set list when they toured the UK and Europe in 2020 so I could experience it in person ... I was absolutely not disappointed. The song itself was first released in 2012 when Su was 14, Yui and Moa were both 12 (there is a great video from the Legend I concert on 6th October 2012 where they played this and the Kami Band made their very first appearance ... that would be worth another reaction inits own right - and you will be surprised to see where Su-metal rests between songs at the start. It is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. 15 is when compulsory education ends in Japan, so the song is also a sort of coming of age thing. She is realising her first 15 years have passed by so quickly and life will never be the same, she is no longer a child, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. At shows in 2014 on or near their own 15th birthdays Yuimetal (in Paris) and Moametal (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for 'Headbanger' about half way through when Su-metal handed them the mic and stand - she took their place in the choreo. There are only fancam videos of those two special occasions. In 2019 at the Legend M concert Moametal once again took over lead vocals for the second half of the song to celebrate her 20th birthday (with an appropriate change of lyric to "...this special night of my 20"). You can find that (called 'Moabanger') on the Babymetal Reactor Resource spreadsheet. It would be worth yet another reaction if you are happy to watch different versions of the same song.

I'm extremely lucky as I've just got tickets to see them at Wembley supporting Sabaton in April. I've seen them twice before here in London too! I'm 55 and have seen everyone in 40 years of concerts and Babymetal was up there with the best of them. The last time I saw them in February 2020 they barely performed for 1 hour but nobody minded - it was an almost ethereal experience! Take care 🙂

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 As Grington300 commented below, this is a compilation from shows in 2013 through 2020. BABYMETAL performed this song as 10th in the setlist in the latest two-day concerts last month. I was there ヽ(^o^)丿. The crowd's mass headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet. In this video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 04:19. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences. What's more, you can see the crowd doing "Dogeza" 「土下座」 (= kneel & bow until forehead touches the ground). That is the most abject and disgraceful way to show apology or unconditional surrender in Japan. We never see people doing it happily and smilingly in other place than BM concerts. I understood Dogeza became the most honorable way to show strong tie within BM fanbase in the world when I saw many people doing it at the Forum, LA on Oct.11, 2019. Of course I did Dogeza 2 times last month with bliss 🤣

Headbanger (Babymetal song):- "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" (ヘドバンギャー!!, Hedobangyā!!) is a single by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. Released in Japan on July 4, 2012 in promotion for the album Sakura Gakuin 2012 Nendo: My Generation, the single serves as the third single from the debut album Babymetal. It is also the band's first solo audio release to be released commercially. •Single: Babymetal. •Album: Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin 2012. •Nendo: My Generation. •Language: Japanese. •Released: July 4, 2012. •Genre: Power Metal, Heavy Metal. •Length: 14:44. •Label: Juonbu. •Songwriter: Edometal, Nakametal, Narasaki. •Producer: Kobametal. •Narametal: (arrangement). Babymetal singles chronology:- "Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba": (2012) "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!": (2012) "Ijime, Dame, Zettai": (2013) Background and release:- Unlike previous tracks released by the band, which had her vocal recorded in segments within the songs, Nakamoto had her lines recorded in a single take several times. She had been told to sing and find a story within the music. By the time she had comprehended the story behind the lyrics, she grew capable of singing the entire song naturally. When Mizuno and Kikuchi listened to her shouting "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" for the first time, they felt as if they had seen another cool side of her, surprised by the vocal power. Additionally, the single introduced the members to the whispering style of singing, with the A-side's "Kiero!" (Disappear!) and the B-side's "Uki Uki Midnight". Kobametal was inspired to use it to contrast traditional death growls. "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" was announced as a single on April 27, 2012, with a release date set for July 7, 2012. The single was released in two versions: a standard edition, available via CD and digital formats, and a physical limited Hedo-ban ("Head edition"), which contains a CD and a "neck corset" (actually a cervical collar) for headbanging training.[5] Both editions of the single feature the songs "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" and "Uki Uki ★ Midnight" (ウ・キ・ウ・キ★ミッドナイト, "Exhilarating Midnight"), along with instrumental versions (labeled as "Air Vocal ver."). The standard version contains an enhanced CD with a bonus music video of "Babymetal Death", which can only be played on a computer. The artwork of the standard edition depicts a lyric in the song, specifically when the girl is headbanging with the corset, with the crimson-colored moon in the background, as well as the band name appearing at the top. The limited edition artwork depicts a temple scripture of the "Corset of Legend" with the song title spelled out in the middle. Before the physical international release of the song, its title was written ambiguously as either "Head Bangya!!" or "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", the latter of which is officially used in the international re-release of Babymetal and all future releases. The music video uploaded to the band's KZfaq channel initially had the former name, though it was switched to the latter in 2015; the version uploaded by Toy's Factory consistently retained the official title. Tekina Remix:- During the live performances Legend "D" Su-metal Seitansai at Akasaka Blitz on December 20, 2012, and Legend "1997" Su-metal Seitansai at Makuhari Messe on December 21, 2012, a remix titled "Night of 15 mix." was performed, containing more elements of electronic music. The former took place on Suzuka Nakamoto's actual fifteenth birthday, while the latter was the opening song for the concert. Remixed by DJ'Tekina//Something, the song was later released as part of Social Reform promotional editions of the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", and later appeared on DJ'Tekina//Something's remix album Kawa-EDM (2016), re-subtitled as "Tekina Remix". SHOWS FEATURED:- •BUDOKAN BLACK NIGHT •LEGEND - 1997 •MAKUHARI MESSE 2014 •MAKUHARI MESSE 2015 •SSA 2015 •YOKOHAMA 2015 •BIG FOX FESTIVAL •TOKYO DOME BLACK NIGHT •LEGEND -S- •METAL GALAXY - DAY 2 AUDIO:- •BIG FOX FESTIVAL Lyrics Overview:- Brilliantly disturb the legendary black hair 伝説の黒髪を華麗に乱し This crazy blooming flower disappears quickly 狂い咲くこの華は はかなく消える Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン It's time to come, don't hesitate anymore さぁ時は来た もう迷わない 握りしめたの 18きっぷ To the east To the west To the south To the north Assault on Dosen today 東へ西へ 南へ北へ 今日もドセンに突撃 Good (Koiya!) Nice reaction. good job noticing it's a compilation video. They don't usually do outfit changes during shows. They may add in a cap or something like that but not the whole outfit. Babymetal is the best Babymetal as they say. Depending which show it was the crowd was anywhere from 20k to 55k. They might not get enough press here but in Japan they're plenty big. Have done radio and TV appearances. They have done shows in Texas. We're hoping for more tour date announcements for this year.

Nice reaction. I also hope they tour again in the US and around the world. They went to Dallas several times and the last one was in 2019. It's compilation from 10 different shows from 2014-2020, but with live audio from just one concert, the biggest show they did have 55.000 audience taken place in Tokyo Dome, 2016 BABYMETAL concept is an idea from one guy named Kobametal, but their execution involves several people in a team, hope you check out more from Babymetal.

@@metalheadsjourney Kei Kobayashi or 'Koba' put Babymetal together. He's their producer. Koba was a metal fan and was in bands. He got hired by the Children's division of Amuse. So he was forced to form his projects out of children. Koba had been thinking about Babymetal as a possible project and decided to do it when he saw Suzuka Nakamoto performing live at the Karen Girls farewell concert. Part of that was that she was already signed to Amuse and he would have access to her talent. Karen Girls was an Amuse project and Suzuka Nakamoto had been signed to Amuse for several years. Koba was also very lucky that Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi were also signed to Amuse. He only had Amuse talent to choose from. Maybe 10 Girls? But they had all won talent shows to get there. Most of the other girls he didn't choose are actresses, models or singers today. There is a good show called 'Alice in Borderland' that has Ayaka who was in that group but older than Su. Ayaka was always very tall and pretty. We know about this because of the Amuse Idol Group called Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin means cherry blossom academy. Sakura Gakuin had usually 10 to 12 girls. It was a very wholesome Idol Group. They had songs like 'Song for Smiling' and 'Friends'. It was nauseatingly wholesome. A subgroup of Sakura Gakuin was the heavy music club that played metal music. It was called Babymetal. Yui, Moa and Su were all members of Sakura Gakuin Idol Group. Moa and Su were both 'class president' in their last year. It was never a real school. It's a great resource because there is tons of video of Sakura Gakuin. Moa and Yui were 2 school years younger than Su and were in Sakura Gakuin 2 years after Su 'graduated'. Ayaka was in Sakura Gakuin. Also Ayami Muto who was in Karen Girls with Su. Momoko who has been filling in for Yui was a SG graduate but was there later. Not with any Babymetal members. To say that Babymetal was a subunit of Sakura Gakuin is true. But Babymetal was a project on it's own and was planned first. It would have happened without Sakura Gakuin.

"How are they so good ?" Let's remember they've been doing that at this level at least since Legend 1997 from Dec. 2013, when they were 'just turned 16' and 14 and 14. So why are they so good now isn't really a good question, why were they that good already at that age. The answer is: talent, training, hard work, amazing staff and a producer who understands crowds, it seems to be his favorite hobby: watching crowds (re)act.

You wondered about how many people were in the crowd. As you are aware, this is a compilation video, so it depends on the venue. But I can tell you with certainty that pieces of the compilation video were from shows at the Tokyo Dome, Makuhari Messe, and other large Japanese venues, which all hold very large crowds. BABYMETAL has regularly sold out their shows at Toyko Dome for example, and these shows had attendance numbers of 55,000 people. You also commented about the brainchild behind BABYMETAL. The man most directly responsible is the BABYMETAL's producer, Kobametal (given name: Key Kobayashi). He is a lifelong metal fan and came up with the basic BABYMETAL concept - although that original concept has evolved and sort of taken on a life of its own over the years, such as the BABYMETAL mythology relating to the Fox God, the fox hand sign that everyone uses instead of the standard metal horns, and just the overall direction of the band and it's lore. I have seen BABYMETAL three times over the years and their shows are always very cool. Unfortunately, these were all US shows, so they weren't the big arena shows and huge productions like the shows they put on in Japan. No matter, they are completely worth checking out live in any case. I'm pretty sure they have played shows in Texas in the past by the way. Anyway, BABYMETAL is easily one of the best live performing and just plain fun bands in the world today, and they shouldn't be missed if you have a chance to check them out. Hopefully they will have a number of US tour dates to support their upcoming album release in addition to their Japanese shows. I know that they will be playing with Sabaton on the European leg of that band's upcoming tour too.

Seeing them for the 3rd time at Wembley Arena in April, it's a 500-mile round trip every time . Was wanting to see them in Japan at recent shows in Japan but was not lucky enough to get picked in the lottery style ticket sale , but April is coming, and i will see them again . I stood in Que ( 12 hours) at Apollo show in London 2020 with 5 fans . 2 Americans, one from New York and one from Iowa and one from Denmark and a woman and daughter from Spain all travelled further than me for one night and returned home the next day . These are considered special concerts which tend to only be performed in Japan unlike music festivals and their much smaller regular concerts. Especially international tours. Good luck trying to get tickets being out of country. You have to be a Babymetal official fan club member first and then go through a lottery process before getting a chance to purchase tickets. If you get tickets then theres the pain of booking flights and accommodations to Japan. *If you already have a passport and whatever necessary vax paperworks/shots which in itself is another hurdle to go through.

He paved the way for a New Genre of Heavy Metal - Kawaii (Cute) Metal - combined with Japanese Pop music! Kei, aka Kobametal brought back the Epic shredding guitar solos, dbl bass drumming, & bass solos, reminiscent of the top 70's - 80's Heavy Metal bands! The Kicker was adding a trio of insanely young, but very talented teenagers to front the band! This is The Craziest, most awesome concept ever contrived, & conceived within a human's Brain! Cheers!

This is the song that made me a big fan of BM, along with 'Onedari Daisakusen', ha. It is sentimental, energic, a bit humorous, cool, beautiful, and wonderful. I think this one song has everything BM has to offer. I finally got my wish and was able to watch this song live at the recent revival shows. ♫ 'I'll never forget the night of 'ichi-go' (15 years old) '♫ at 4:10, it is from the good old American film, 'Strawberry (ichigo) Statements', I believe. Thank you from Japan.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 The compilation you watched had footage from ten different concerts, held from December 2013 up to January 2020. The audio was from BIG FOX FESTIVAL (October 15th, 2017). Most of those concerts had all three original members; Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, or "Su"), Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi). For LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX in December 2017, Yui was originally expected to perform, but did not, based on her doctor's advice. The show went ahead with just Su and Moa. Yui officially left the group because of unspecified health reasons in October 2018. The LEGEND - METAL GALAXY footage had Momoko Okazaki, one of three supporting dancers known as "avengers" that appeared on stage with Su and Moa from 2019 to 2021. Momoko also appeared at the two 2023 shows in January. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' was one of their earliest hits, and still a big favorite of mine.

Good reaction, I guess. There are decent compilations and there are mash-ups. This one is from the second category. The only thing worse are fancam footage or compilations. In my opinion, this kind of videos totally butcher the whole viewing experience by introducing abrupt changes of any kind: flow, sequence, stage, dressing, even members. It's made for a progression or comparative view and I can understand it. But it's not good for a first time viewing experience.

The man behind the curtain is Key Kobayashi AKA Kobametal (their producer, head writer, etc.). The reason they're so good is he INSISTED on top quality in every aspect...writing, choreography, studio musician, road musicians, costuming, set design...every tiny detail is thought out by highly skilled professionals. If a producer in the States had attempted this, we'd have gotten the Spice Girls with the cheapest backing band possible. Koba made this work by doing it right.

Don't forget to get back to LOVEBITES. Set The World On Fire live. Epic thrash and it is metal AF. Miyako slays her Dimebag Dean while 5mos pregnant. It's Big 4+Testament with a dragonforce-like solo. The thrash gallops are tight AF! 🤘 Link to STWOF kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b5-qpqtnzq3DZpc.html
