So yes, Babymetal's backing band is called Kami Band, and there are 2. Kami band of the East usually is the band backing them during Japan and Asia tours, with Hideki Aoyama on drums, while the Kami band of the West since 2019 usually does the US and EU tours, with Anthony Barone on drums. This was anthony Barone! If you would like to see what Hideki Aoyama can do on drums, I would suggest another song with a Kami band intro, this time Kami of the East, so either of this songs: - "Rondo of Nightmare" live at Budokan 2014 with Mischief of the Metal Gods intro - "Catch me if You can" live at Budokan 2014 with Kami intro. Lately they have not doing these instrumental intos quite often that's why I'm suggesting something somewhat old, plus stuff from 2014 is pretty safe to react to and you don't risk the video getting blocked! Kagerou was fine because it was a compilation video ;)

Good reaction - and the South Downs are very nice (not a hiker personally). As below this was one of those occasions where we got an instrumental intro giving the Kami Band of the West their chance to show off a bit before BABYMETAL came in with the song and performance. In order of solos - Chris Kelly, CJ Masciantonio, Clint Tustin on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. I think it was already mentioned that you were talking about a wooden beater and missed Anthony Barone's "gravity blast" at the end of the drum solo.

Nice one, thanks! Definitely compilation videos are not good for instrumental intros. And unfortunately, this one is not even the "best" compilation for this specific intro. You missed Barone's signature technique: gravity blast. One of the reasons he's one of my favorite drummers. The musicians are anonymous. At Least that was the original layout. Not to take the limelight from BABYMETAL. BAND-MAID is another really strong group. I listen to pretty much everything some sticks, some not. The producers of Babymetal launched them to the top and broke a lot of locked doors to make room. I made a list of the groups or performers that joined in with BABYMETAL and it was pretty amazing. It is what it is. There is no one so deaf as those that do not listen .. Just saying ..

I really don't like these masks for the band, it was a huge difference seeing them before. It is nice to see solos, but without facial expressions and stuff it's just "a great guitarist/basist/drummer" to me.

this guy likes to talk a lot without much constructive input. sounds like someone who isnt tooooo good at drums trying to disect a masters perormance :)
