I'll tell you something, when I saw baby metal I thought there were 2 drummers or effects, because I thought that would be impossible, but after seeing this I'm sure this guy is from another world

Vlad just realised a drum playthrough for this. Even though you’ve obviously heard the song, I’d love to see you react to the playthrough and hear your thoughts 😊 🤘🏻

In English, we often put an emphasis on a syllable and our ending "e" silent. Japanese give equal emphasis on their syllables, and the final "e" pronounced either on its own or combined with the consonant before it. So, her first name would sound ah-kaw-nay (A ka ne), each part equal, no emphasis. Last name hee-row-say (Hi ro se). In Japan the custom is to put family name first....Hirose Akane. You might hear various endearments, especially for females, "-chan", "-incho", "-kun" get added to part of the name. So, friends or family might address her as Achan or Akachan. Formal discussions you don't do that, in fact, an honorific is attached to the full name, mostly to the family name, Hirosesan. And maybe to the first name, Akanesan.

Krupa played at my high school for an "assembly". He was fantastic. It was supposed to be some kind of educational thing. And it was. If I remember correctly Gene was from Chicago. But at this assembly he said he was from Diamond Town, PA. Which is a little village attached to the Borough of Mt. Carmel, PA. A hard coal region town in the oldest mountains on earth. Same little village were Machine-gun Kelly died in a shot-out with the police. I don't know why he said that. Maybe it's true. Maybe he played for the assembly at Mount Carmel Area High School because when he was a little kid he lived there. I really don't know. But he did say it.

I’d say she’s excellent but with the likes of Neil Peart or gene Krupa - sadly, I honestly don’t think she’s near them (none really are). I’d absolutely put her in a top 75 or 100 though. Hope you’re well.
@JayDavisAtHome25 күн бұрын
@DRUMNERD if you're including The greats of History like Peart,Rich,Krupa,Purdie, then I'd put her in the top 25 myself. Mostly due to her musicality
@JayDavisAtHome25 күн бұрын
@DRUMNERD I guess I should have clarified by saying current drummers. I mean Purdie is 85☹️
@DRUMNERD24 күн бұрын
@@JayDavisAtHome I can’t imagine how that list was made in having Purdue (one of if not the most recorded drummer) in 85. Let alone his feel. I fear some of these poles are popularity contests.

The broken internet aside, I enjoyed this reaction. I was hoping for a bit bigger one on Pau's scream but that's OK. You gave a really nice technical breakdown of Pau's drumming. This is nothing. You need to watch more The Warning videos to really see the range of her talents. "Dust to Dust" is a really good example.

IMO Neil was a percussionist rather than a traditional rock band drummer.

Buddy Rich was a machine on the drums. Gene Krupa’s drumming had heart - machines don’t have hearts 😉 While Rich could dazzle you with his technical ability, Krupa’s drumming (IMHO) was more “musical”
@Lensmaster117 күн бұрын
Exactly why I prefer Krupa. Wow rich is probably the best technical drummer ever, Krupa puts his soul in his drumming.

Man, how I love mew. So damn talented, and I love how they're all so individual, and so intricate and it all fits together, like perfectly. Beautiful, just beautiful. And I know you're a drum guy and focus on drums, but it's all beautiful. Sorry I got too into the music I forgot to thank you, drumnerd! Thank you for your reaction/analysis

It's like this, it doesn't matter what you do on top. The bass drum keeps the beat, and the same time. She's good, this is why the bass player and drummer always play in sync.

Being at a Lovebites concert is like being at a Nazi rally in the 1930’s…..in a good way. The chants the throwing of salutes…it’s awesome. Fascistic Christian themed metal…who could ask for more.

I'd like to recommend I Speak Astronomy (official video) please. It highlights Dmitry better and is my favorite song by them. If you do the song please notice the 2nd time throught the bridge. Dmitry plays the china on every third eighth note while playing everything else in four, keeping the pattern going until it works its way back around. The song also has time signature changes but that's kinda obvious. Not many people catch the thing with the china cymbal the 2nd time. Thanks for the video, much appreciated!

Dmitry Kim is the drummer here ... he came on after the previous drummer broke his back (or something like that) and is no longer able to drum. He did the tracks for the KoE album and shot a couple of music videos with them, and did some local/regional shows ; but they knew he was only ever going to be temporary because he had no desire to live the touring life. (which is when Vlad went to work learning how to drum)
@neilpatrickhairlessАй бұрын
The drummer before Kim fell asleep while sitting on the sill of a window smoking a cigarette and fell off. I think his legs were paralyzed

I can’t play a single instrument, but Nightwish is my favorite band in the world, and I love watching drum cams from all bands, especially from the best drummer in the world! I will never understand how a drummers brain works -how they can make their arms and legs do all different things And keep time so the rest of the band is able to do what they need to do.
