It was backed with the BABYMETAL song 'Iine!', the Kiba of Akiba song 'Party @the BBS' and a Kiba of Akiba cover of the BABYMETAL song 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. A really strange cover of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. : ) What's especially charming for me is that this joint single featuring a death pop band, was released to promote the 'Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo: Friends' album. Just think that's hilarious. IMO, 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' is their best cover song. Unlike any other BABYMETAL cover, it's been performed live over twenty times. No, you are not crazy haha. Funny thing about BabyMetal and Sakura Gakuin is the more one listens/watches their videos the stronger our emotions and feelings grow. It never goes away, just increases! Great reaction! Please watch the Budokan Black Night version, it's even better. It also has the Kami band which automatically makes it 10 times better, and for me at least the girls sound even better in that version🙂🤘🦊

"Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You" (that's the full title) is a cover from Kiba Of Akiba, they're a death pop band with otaku themes and growlings, what a coincidence they got the name of the "enemy" in BabyMetal lore (Akiba, also a famous area in Japan). Anyway this was released as a bonus track of "Iine!" single in 2012 to promote Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo Friends, along with other tracks. SuMetal gives this so much bright and clean vocals not to mention hitting those high notes like nothing and going straight to aerobics. Also MoiMoi interaction add the perfect kawaii dose this song needed. Song was a banger and it was the only "cover" they played several times throughout different live concerts. We can also say this is one of the few songs related to "anime", besides some other covers performed one time only. I must apologize but I take issue with you comparing BABYMETAL to anime music: BABYMETAL is not anime - never has been and, with any luck, never will be. Evidently, many people jump to anime simply because they are singing in Japanese, and anime is the only place they’ve ever heard Japanese singing. Would they still sound like anime if they were singing in French or German or Swedish or English? Granted, this song has an anime reference but that's the extent of it: to the best of my knowledge, it has never been used in an anime. Rant over. 🙂 It's not often I see someone reacting to this - it doesn't appear on any BABYMETAL studio album, and it isn't exactly among their greatest hits although it is a wonderful example of Yuimetal and Moametal playing the "Greek chorus" to Su-metal.
