The best live versión of this song is live at Legend S Baptism XX SuMetal 20th Birthday 2017 but is heavily blocked, there are another proshot versions safe to react from early era but those aren't with good mix sound, this one is close to that special moment but we got a different context. This song is an X-Japan tribute to Endless Rain, is like a response or a silver lining, Endless Rain was the inspiration for Guns N' Roses - November Rain. Good thing you upload this one with those filters to dodge the annoying YT algo. Many fans think the sudden and long silence is a reference to the pandemic situation, remember this was at Budokan 2021 during the lockdown but they had a special permission and etiquettes to attend this series of concerts without risking health. I think the silence last longer in the original and you can also hear someone clapping thinking the song is over lol Anyway, is a beautiful version showing SuMetal on piano, I guess that's another lovely reference to Yoshiki from X-Japan and his piano. It’s fine that it isn’t you type of music, not everyone likes ballads. I think the performance at the Legend S show was far better but that’s just my opinion. The 18 seconds pause probably represented the months since the world kinda shut down due to the pandemic and all the metal voices were silenced. I am not sure if Su actually played the piano or is she just pretended for the theatrical effect. But as always with Babymetal, nothing happens by accident and everything is planned and has a meaning. ❤🤘🔥🦊

Look at the babymetal logo in 5 minutes and 20 seconds. There is no skull mark of the YUIMETAL design. NO RAIN NO RAINBOW at Budokan is a farewell song to YUIMETAL.

NRNR gehört tatsächlich auch für mich zu den Songs, die ich nicht unbedingt brauche. Die von Jake Muller erwähnte Performance wertet das Stück definitiv auf, aber da haben BM doch ganz andere Songs am Start. Ist natürlich schön, dass sie auch solche Balladen drauf haben.

Great reaction. Ballads like this do not appeal to everybody, so no problem if it just isn't really your thing. This song is actually inspired by and is an homage to X Japan's song 'Endless Rain'. There was an introductory video played just before this performance which made sense of the piano and the long pause, but you would have to see the whole concert to get that context I think (if I remember correctly the exact number of seconds for that pause was significant too ... there was no pause in any other performance of this song). They have only performed this song live 7 times - the first time was in June 2013, nearly a year before the release of the first album. Despite that it was not included on the first album. I am pleased you noticed and commented on Su-metal's expression. When she first sang this song she was not happy with her performance - she said she was concentrating on getting the lyrics right and singing the right notes, but she was not connecting emotionally with the song, she felt she did not have the life experience to really understand it and she was not ready to record it for the album ... she was still only 15 at that time. When she performed it again in March 2014 she saw people in the audience crying and only then was she happy that she was connecting with the song and expressing the emotion it deserved ... she recorded it for the second album, released in 2016. The Legend S Baptism XX concerts in December 2017 celebrated Su-metal's 20th birthday and those were the first time she had gone back to her home town Hiroshima with BABYMETAL. At those concerts the introductory video referenced the acid rain which fell on the city after the bomb was dropped - that was possibly the most emotional and best performance of 'No Rain, No Rainbow' ... and being a very special occasion that even had a live pianist and violinists accompanying Su and the Kami Band.

Ist ja auch nicht dramatisch, wenn dir das Lied nicht gefallen hat, man muss ja nicht alles mögen nur, weil Babymetal draufsteht, an sich ist das Lied ein sehr schönes Lied und ich z. B. mag das Lied auch sehr gerne, wobei ich diesen Auftritt jetzt auch nicht so feier.

Und wegen der Streams hast du eigentlich feste Zeiten wann du streamst oder ist das immer spontan?

I agree with you about the piano and the pause 🤣 Otherwise though, it's a nice performance of a song that's quite a bit different from their normal work. Of the Su-metal solos, this one is the weakest in my opinion.
