Nobody is saying the quality of the debut is low but some people just don’t like the song. It has nothing to do with them being new or young. Yeah the potential is really high

Tbh it's just a sound we have heard before and after pre debut expected something better.

The disappointment is because their talent and company should've secured them a mind-blowing debut.

Agreed, I reckon this song was just an official introduction of these talented young ladies. The Yg-ish stuffs told fans where they are begin with. They were just showinng their firm standing, might be a bit step back for farther leaping, a solid debut.

I think it’s safe to say that people would obviously compare a new gg to a past gg. Blackpink got the same massive hate train when they debuted for being too similar to 2ne1 for Boombayah and was being said “it’s just another 2ne1 song that was given to Blackpink”. And then same goes for Baby Monster being compared the same thing to Blackpink when it’s just a YG debut sound 😭 all YG debuts sound similar and then they venture out towards their unique sounds.

I think you're using them being sisters to BP as an excuse. YG is just unoriginal. Look at jyp or sm ggs each group sound was different after each group. 2NE1, BP, BM songs could all be by one group. Look at Wonder Girls, Twice, Itzy. Same company different music Styles. Same with SM for Snsd, Fx, Red Velvet, & Aespa

They have little to non say in this and kpop agencies are forever constipated, but I cannot not lie. They have responsibilities, that we don't even know. There is big difference in constructive comments and just hate foe hate. Unfortunately I see them as young and already carrying a lot because of YG and blackpink and that will take a toll, if people changed the gears for a second, they would realize that they are only doing their jobs. Because is a job, and if you are an employee how much freedom you have. The worrying part is that they will suffer a lot because people has no ideia about what happens behind the blinds.
