Using Railtec transfers and Fox Transfers nameplates.

The Bachmann 37s are great locos and still available for a really good price - and the WCR maroon really suits the loco, a classy livery. When I started weathering I used to just spray the airbrush about with some dirty looking colour, but now I weather from photographs of the real locos. Doesn't need to be the exact number or livery - just the loco class in a degree of weathering that I'm aiming for. In this case though I wanted to capture that day by mimicking the full loco. Use a small amount of nail polish remover on a cotton tip will work too i stripped a class 37 from sectorisation livery to network rail 97302 Ffestiniog and welch highland railway full repaint and the railtec full loco transfers with the improving your railway black transfers as well and it really brought the loco to life

I found with weathering up mine i found using the paint wash on the bogies and the Ak4062 light dust deposits on the bogies and the fuel tank and using the dark earth Ak pigments weathering powder on the bonnet and the roof and then taking grey smoke powder and then ak exhaust wash and then finished off with a Dab with dark Black paint on and a round the exhausts

I’ve seen some amazing results with weathering powders, but not tried them myself yet. Thanks for the recommendation and sure I’ll give them a go at some point. All the best, Colin
