I got this loco for christmas in 2018 and it was always a nice runner but with using analogue alot less now on the layout and gradually converting all my existing locos to dcc, i wanted to have sound in this loco as it was quite a basic model and i also wanted to see what a stay alive unit does for these locos and it was very impressive the loco didnt stall once, one thing i do point out though is this loco doesnt like anything below 3rd radius curves so something to bare in mind, otherwise its a great model and it can handle around 4 bachmann mk1 coaches on my layout.

I remember 1054 when she was at the Penrhyn Castle museum Bangor.. I also remember her being re-railed at Menai Bridge station one Sunday where she was towed away by diesel locomotive to Dinting. She had been transported from Penrhyn Castle by road. Her tall chimney had been removed and strapped to the front buffer beam. When she was stationed in South Wales under the LMS her number was 7799.

Thats interesting to now i new it was owned by the national trust but had no idea it was ever at Penrhyn castle, ive been trying to look up Dinting railway centre but cant find much info about it, shame all these railway centres are gone now, like carnforth steam town and steamport southport, thanks for the info and for watching. lovely looking tank engine. like the sounds apart from flange squeel! can you replace the r2 curves with r3 or 4?

i quite like the flange squeel but not all the time lol, i do intend to change to wider curves but that end of the layout is only temporary anyway as i do intend one day to extend into the other half of the loft, the far end of the layout is 3rd radius and the lower level part of the layout is all 3rd and 4th radius.
