I have a 96 12v with a NV5600 6 speed and love it.

I currently haul with a 01 v10 ram 2500. It sure does great as long as you have stock in oil companies. It's auto but shifts great. Love my Mopars. Ps I'm 63 so have a little experience with trucks and not much hauls like a Dodge. Great videos and much appreciated.

The G 56 six speed looks like a nice transmission and the governor spring definitely helps I’d recommend getting a governor spring where you can do the 3200 RPM thank you should little bit more top end something else everybody over not everybody but a lot of people don’t do enough to their head if they took the head off and got a ported nice nice porting job nothing radical and while you’re there but the nice valve springs the beehive valve springs cause I make your stuff last longer but anyway Hamilton Tim’s stage to head is a real nice had good for towing and their well-built so this is six in a row jim From Tenorel PA I got a 91. Five Dodge give you three guesses with under the hood and yeah it has a Hamilton cans stage to head

I got a 95 4x4 extended cab that I getting a rebuilt g56 installed.. I hated the automatic from day one . Towing with the stock 4 speed automatic was a bad experience for me . I always wondered when it going to leave me on the side of the road . I appreciate the videos .

Would love to see a side by side with the nv4500 and the g56. I know you've touched on them, but it would be cool to go in depth with your experience/knowledge.

I have a 01 2500 auto and I fully agree with you. towing anything over 15k with the truck is not fun because of the auto. Why would you go with the g56 over the nv5600??

Curios as why you prefer a G56 over a nv5600? Is it packaging in a 2nd gen or or ratios of gears.... I did a g56 in my old 07 single tire about 12 years ago and having a 05 dually with a nv5600, I much preferred the 5600 for towing.. granted that truck was well built and dyno'd at 450+/- at the rear wheels on 35's. It also towed heavy on on the farm quite often on out 35' Big tex 22gn. I am curios as I am looking at picking up a buddies 02 24v that needs a new bottom end.

No automatic windows for me 😔. Atleast they are power though haha
